Culture Or Religion Should Not Be Used By Man To Impose Duties

Taliban

Domination is not part of any true religion: It’s only a cruel and heartless man will be happy to see his wife dressed like that in the scorching sun.

Many writers are inspired by other writers. I get my inspiration by reading the Bible and comments by my readers. The reason many times I make reference to the Gospel. In the beginning, God created everything and gave man dominion over all things, but the greed of man hasn’t only brought hardships, sin, and rebellion in this word but also domination and crime.

In many parts of the world, women can’t have education, they can’t wear trousers, they can’t work, they can’t drive and they have to cover themselves from head to toe. Why, because religion says so? If women are to stay at home without education, who are going to be the doctors, engineers, and pilots after all the men have been killed in war?

“A woman is a flower in the middle of the garden and the man is the fence around it.” This is one of the African proverbs indicating how precious a woman is. Unfortunately, it is now the opposite. Women now sit outside the fence without any protection, suffering all kinds of tragedies, including rape, sexual harassment, domestic violence, and domination.

The greed of man is so enormous that it has no boundary, shifting to religion. Many Muslim men marry girls underage and they think it’s okay. How can a forty-five-year-old man marry a thirteen or fourteen-year-old girl? This is a crime. Such person should be thrown into jail for the rest of his life because he has slept with a girl who can be his daughter. They force to marry and when the woman says no, they throw acid on her face.

When Taliban came to power in Afghanistan, especially in Helmand Province, women have to cover their entire body. They are caned and stoned in public as if the executioners have never committed any sin from childbirth. On October 29, 2015, I wrote an article discouraging ‘Female Circumcision’ because it’s barbarism and cruelty against women. I received only two comments on this article but one of them touched me to share this article.

I quote “Any culture or religion should not be used by man to impose duties, discriminating, disparities and unfounded, but to protect the creatures, to give them serenity and comfort in suffering, indicate paths of joy, respecting the nature of corporeal living, always in agreement with this nature,” says erospea.wordpress.com , a lady hosting an Italian blog.

We have been told and heard many times that Islam is a religion of peace, but some people have shown us the cruelty and oppressive nature of Islam against women and beheading of Christians. Imagine in an Islamic country, which women are not allowed to mingle with men or work, so the shops have been taken over by men that sell women underwear and bra. The male shop assistant stares at the woman finding the right size of bra. What a world of hypocrisy?

Religion doesn’t mean oppression. If the Bible or Koran demands women to be submissive to their husbands doesn’t mean that women are deemed to be inferior to men or should be oppressed. The Koran says “There is no salvation for a man or a nation who allows women to rule over them.” I don’t think so. Men have dominated man to his injury, they should, therefore, give women the chance to heal the world.

Euthanasia: Why The Pope Quiet If He Is Against Death Penalty?

Pope

In his recent tour in the United States of America, Pope Francis, who is an opponent of the death penalty pled for clemency for a woman on the death row, who allegedly killed her husband in 1997. Despite the Pope’s plea, the US State of Georgia executed Kelly Gissendaner. The Pope’s action shows his love for humanity and respect for mankind. The question is: Why Pope Francis hasn’t made any effort to stop Euthanasia, since many consider it as murder?

Many are born with serious birth defects, including other life threatening diseases. As we grow old, we encounter health problems, often robbing us of our happiness. In this painful situation many wish to die instead of living.

Thanks to the amazing progress of modern technology, this has brought comfort to mankind in every field, including medical. There is life saving machines to ease our pains, incubators to save premature babies etc; but I haven’t heard of any doctor or scientist putting breath into a dead man’s nostrils to bring the person back to life.

Apart from Biblical account which indicates that Jesus, Elijah, Elisha, Paul and Peter raised the dead, no doctor or scientist has been able to do that, so why do some doctors take the life of terminally ill patients to avoid suffering?

When one kills a person, he faces a murder charge. In this case when a person is not dead, but because of suffering or chronic disease, someone helps, in any means to support or speed up his death, the person is also a murderer. If many will take certain abominable things into consideration, this world would have been a better place.

From historical times, man has dominated man to his own injury, ignoring the scriptures and doing whatever seems good to him, which results have been fatal and disastrous. Euthanasia has got nothing to do with ‘Dying in dignity’ it is murder. Euthanasia is now legal in many countries, including Belgium and the Netherlands.

Euthanasia in Belgium is reportedly “out of control” with a 500% increase in cases in ten years and currently there are plans to extend euthanasia to children and people with dementia.

“It’s the choice of the sufferer to die,” is it that calls for euthanasia? But who are you to play God and terminate one’s life? I tell you the truth, there shouldn’t be any hope that this world will be better place. We are in a very dangerous, sinful world and those responsible can’t escape the wrath to come, whether they do it for money or ‘dignity.’

The amazing front cover design of ‘The Writer Died’

Child Neglect relates to failure to provide a child’s basic needs. In Europe and America, there are organizations that assist in solving such problems or taking care of neglected children. In many parts of Africa, the story is entirely different. This is an emotional, touching and inspirational story of a young boy who finds himself in a similar situation.

Kumbe finds himself in a hostile environment, as a victim of divorce and neglect. An environment he witnesses the suffering and hustling his mother goes through to feed him. He was unhappy because his father was neglecting his family, spending his fortune on other women. He sees his adolescence as a struggle to win the support of his father.

At school, he was among the best students. This gives him inspiration to fight to educate himself. In a confused society, Kumbe spends a better part of his life visiting the library, reading and studying. Despite daily horrendous life he passes through, Kumbe excels to be an outstanding journalist and writer, attached to the president of his native country, Ghana, with enormous enthusiasm and optimism. However, in his lifetime as a famous journalist, his fame gives him nothing but hatred, jealousy and blackmail from an empire of deceitful enemies.

He stands strong and firm, destined to fight the cruel charismatic power of those forces haunting him. But they are stronger than him. Despite his wife’s moral and material support, Kumbe surrenders and dies mysteriously. Who and what killed him? “The Writer Died” is a truly remarkable book of hard life experience of child neglect, an indispensable and inspiring book for anyone that may find himself in a similar situation.

The writer tries to define, measure, classify, and understand what child neglect is like in Africa.

Once A Man, Twice A child: Making Wise Decisions Before Old Age

Wonderful world, beautiful people

Making Wise Decisions Before Old Age: life is beautiful even at old age

It’s great to be young since life is beautiful, wonderful and full of experiences. Many are born with silver spoon in their mouths, while others born on a bed of poverty. The latter has to run a mile for his daily bread. Surprisingly, there are stories of people who were born into great and wealthy families, whose lives ended with sad events and others born into poverty, but rose to be most industrious and respected people in the society.

While in school many dream of getting good jobs and probably the right partners to start a family. These are essential in life. Without planning one can’t make a good decision and future. When young many never think of old age, until it catches them by surprise. In fact, old age doesn’t mean suffering but at a ripe age we often find ourselves in various health problems, making life miserable sometimes. Many times at old age, there isn’t any more energy to feed on your own, thus; becoming a child once again, under the care of both good and bad people.

We do often hear people saying “Life is short, so let’s enjoy ourselves?” But we shouldn’t forget that what we do while young, determines our future.  According to psychologists and psychiatrists, the roots of our present day ailments can be traced to our homes. That means that we can plan a better life or abide by healthy rules to enjoy healthy lives, instead of misusing our bodies which speed up to ailments at old age.

After a wonderful life, we meet health problems, such as loss hearing, impair vision, urinary and prostate cancer and other old health problems.  Sometimes a doctor may even find a problem during a routine checkup and discover illness we weren’t aware of. One addicted to health hazard substance, can’t enjoy a perfect healthy life, like one free from drugs. Some health hazard addictions sometimes make one older and gaunt, even though the person may be in his or her thirties.

Old age 5

Imagine at 100 years old, both Grayce and Clarence Dwyer, born to Irish immigrants still live.  According to the article written by Susan Donaldson James on February 14, 2012, via Good Morning America, “Until very recently they have been fiercely independent and still were able to cook and shop even if it meant returning to the local food market more than once a day so that they could prepare their own meals,” said couple’s daughter.

At certain time, old people in excruciating pain prefer to die, while those who are even older and enjoying happy life wish they could live longer. Life it’s like a journey before every one, if it’s well driven, you will achieve success at the end of the journey and when carelessly driven, you will end up in unpleasant situations.

There are many books about living a healthy life. One of them is ‘Living Healthy Life – The most effective and cutting edge health secretes of all time, by Randi Garber. After working very hard, the soul and body need satisfaction, yet too much of everything is bad. People smoke all their lives until diagnosed with cancer. That can be prevented. Life is precious, worth more than silver and gold; let’s take good care of ourselves, to avoid much suffering during old age.

Under The Same Sky: From Starvation North Korea To Salvation In America

Kim 4

A searing story of starvation and survival in North Korea, followed by a dramatic escape, rescue by activists and Christian missionaries, and success in the United States thanks to newfound faith and courage

Inside the hidden and mysterious world of North Korea, Joseph Kim lived a young boy’s normal life until he was five. Then disaster struck: the first wave of the Great Famine, a long, terrible ordeal that killed millions, including his father, and sent others, like his mother and only sister, on desperate escape routes into China. Alone on the streets, Joseph learned to beg and steal. He had nothing but a street-hardened survival instinct. Finally, in desperation, he too crossed a frozen river to escape to China.

There a kindly Christian woman took him in, kept him hidden from the authorities, and gave him hope. Soon, through an underground network of activists, he was spirited to the American consulate, and became one of just a handful of North Koreans to be brought to the U.S. as refugees. Joseph knew no English and had never been a good student. Yet the kindness of his foster family changed his life.

He turned a new leaf, became a dedicated student, mastered English, and made it to college, where he is now thriving thanks to his faith and inner strength. Under the Same Sky is an unforgettable story of suffering and redemption.

Joseph Kim

Few can imagine what it is like to be homeless and starving as a child. Few can imagine life in the hermit kingdom of North Korea. However, refugee Joseph Kim knows both very well and he gives us a window into those worlds in his new memoir Under the Same Sky: From Starvation in North Korea to Salvation in America.

Kim became homeless during the great famine of the 1990s, which killed more than a million people including his father. After three years on the streets, he escaped to China where a network of activists connected him with the U.S. consulate. At 17 years old, Kim arrived in America as a refugee with no family and barely an education.

NPR’s Arun Rath spoke with Kim about his harrowing experience as a homeless kid on the streets of North Korea, and how he finally made it to America.

On his life before the famine

I was only 4 or 5 years old when the famine began so I can’t really remember much from before but what I can remember is that I was actually being able to play with my friends, everything was peaceful. I didn’t have to worry about when the next meal was gonna come or whether we are gonna have food or not.

On losing his family at 12 years old

So my mom actually ended up making a very difficult decision to sell my older sister to Chinese men. She came back to me in North Korea and she explained to me but I didn’t really understand at the time. But now I think about it and she did it so she could at least save her youngest child, which was me. After that my mom tried to go to China again to look for my sister and earn some money but she got caught so she was put in a prison facility.

On being homeless in North Korea

In order to survive as a homeless, probably one of the first things that you have to do is to give up your human dignity because if you try to keep yourself a human being and try to preserve your rights and right to be treated, you’re not going to be able to ask for food. I mean it’s really humiliating. You also have to cross the line where you have to stop worrying about or thinking about the morality. I was taught in school don’t steal it but if I don’t steal it, I can’t survive.

On escaping to China

I crossed where the river was frozen so I was able to run across the border. There was no security guard. [The] distance was not that long, maybe like 100 yards, but I feel like that was the fastest I ran in my life.

On being a refugee in America

Friends treat me as just a normal Korean-American student — although they know my stories, I think my friends allow me to be part of their group without labeling me as a North Korean defector. I feel definitely welcomed and accepted.

The Truth About Jesus: He Is Still Alive

Jesus 3

“Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened. That’s one of the numerous quotes by Jesus, recorded at Matthew 7:7-8. Apart from “Love thy Neighbour as thyself,” I consider this particular quote recorded at Matthew 7:7-8, as one of the most powerful gospel quotes by Jesus.

Imagine, can you know the deliciousness of a food when you haven’t tasted it? Without making a journey to a place, how can you know the beauty of that place, because pictures aren’t enough? Without reading the Bible to understand the gospel, to seek the face of Jesus, how can you know him? It’s necessary to search for something before you can find, isn’t it?

Again when you need something without asking, how do you receive it? And when you are entering the house of your neighbour, you may stand behind the door for hours, if you don’t knock on the door to be welcomed. “Blessed are the pure of heart, for they shall see God.”

With the world full of crime, immorality, wickedness and the shed of innocent blood, I wonder why atheists and scientists don’t try to heal the world, but rather try to distort the gospel, change the faith of believers, to join them in putting petrol into the high burning unquenchable flame that we are experiencing presently in our society.

I would like to share this remarkable story entitled A DIVINE INTERVENTION: Texas Teen Says He Saw Jesus Before Being Revived, which appeared in ‘thesechristiantimes.com.

Jesus 4

A Texas Teen Says He Saw Jesus Before Being Revived. Zack Clements  suddenly collapsed while running in P.E. class. He was clinically dead for 20 minutes. What he saw during that time can only be explained by the faith that so many believe in. Doctors can’t explain the miracle, but the family believes that a divine hand may had played a major role in the recovery of Zack Clements.

According to Clements, “they said I was without a heart beat for 20 minutes.”

When doctors finally got a pulse, Clements was airlifted to Cook Children’s Hospital in Fort Worth. He would wake up there in the intensive care unit days later.
His recovery has been hard to believe, but even more amazing is the story he tells of what he saw when his heart stopped beating.

“When I was out those 20 minutes, I saw a man who had long ruffled hair and kind of a thick beard, and it didn’t take me long to realize that that was Jesus,” he said.
He described what the family is convinced was a miracle.
“I went up to him and he put his hand on my shoulder and he told me everything would be alright and not to worry.”

His father Billy Clements says he know it’s a difficult story for many people to accept, however for him and his family, it’s the only thing that makes sense.
“For him to wake up and tell us something he experienced like that. It’s just you can’t explain it. It’s not humanly possible to explain it,” said Billy Clements.

The teen’s mother, Teresa Clements says although it may be a medical mystery to doctors, she has accepted that her son coming back to life was a result of divine intervention.
“I’m just glad he decided to let me have my baby back,” said Teresa Clements.

How do we explain this amazing event? Was Zack’s near death experience a divine intervention? Did he really see the Face of God?

The writer’s opinion:

Let your yes be yes, and no be no. Don’t let any devil rob you of your joy and faith. Don’t be deceived that money will give you all the happiness and comfort, because many rich people continue to commit suicide. If you need food to be strong, then feed your body spiritually as well, by reading the gospel, to stand firm to pass the test, trials and tribulations in this wicked world.
