Why Many People Lie About Their Age?

Age liars

Is it lack of confidence that forces some women to lie about age?

To lie about something is wrong but  why do many lie about their age and feel happy about it? I was born almost six decades ago. If I look at myself, I see that I am still handsome, above all very strong.

The way I look inspires me so much that I am never afraid to tell anyone that I was born 1957. Whenever I am joining any social media, I never omit the day and year I was born because once you start lying over little things, it will become a habit to lead one to become a chronic liar.

I can understand that due to certain ailments many look older than their real age but if you are a normal healthy person, please stop lying about your age because it can ruin your reputation and shatter your confidence if someone finds your real age.

I remember asking a woman of her age and she asked me to guess. I said she is in her forties but what ensued warned me never to guess a woman’s age again. According to her, she is 27. I understood her reaction immediately, the reason women lie more about their age than men. I don’t know if women feel older than men, even when still in  their twenties.

Asking a man of his age is never taken as an offense but woe unto you to ask a lady of her age. They don’t take such questions likely at all. Many take it as an insult, shameful, or rude to ask of age. If you really feel proud of the way you look, I don’t think it’s necessary to lie about your age

A woman entering into a relationship may lie about her age for many reasons including lack of self-confidence but how is the situation going to be if he discovers your real age? These are some the reasons those who lie about their age must think twice before they lie.

Lying about your age will never make you look younger or older but rather builds your confidence. A man likes a woman because of many things. Even the way a woman may brush her could attract a man. Love is based on truth, sincerity, and honesty not age.

There are many ways to keep yourself beautiful and attractive. Instead of going to the gym to build your body in the right shape, stop drinking heavy if love alcohol, stop smoking if you do smoke and finanly reduce the quantity of the food you eat every day. Drug abuse, excessive eating, drinking and smoking always reduce your age by gradually damaging your health.

I hear people saying that “Life is short, so let’s enjoy.” There is nothing wrong to enjoy yourself but watch carefully what you eat and drink because what goes into your body makes you who you are.

Surprising Invincible Enemies On Social Media

will 2

The internet or the social media is the right place as a groundbreaking interactive marketplace and also an essential tool for people to access information and services right?

By the influence of the social media, we can now see the world through our windows, and enjoy effective and quick communication if the one lives thousands of kilometers away, but alongside its many valuable resources, the social media is occupied by invincible brood of vipers, whose aim to make sure that you never reach the top, hateful contents, offensive materials, black heart and treacherous people known as social media friends.

Frankly speaking, I wasn’t aware that the social media has its dark sides until I started writing. In a society whereby, ‘birds of the same feathers flock together’ you are not accepted if you look different. If that group is saying that ‘blue’ colour is ‘black,’ you need to agree with them to stay in the group.

Jesus said, “the truth shall set you free,” but in this present generation, the truth will give you many worries, discomfort and create a lot of enemies for you. I have said over and over that I may live in Europe for many years, but holding European passport doesn’t change my way of thinking, culture and identity. I am hundred percent true born African and proud to be an African.

Since I’m an African, my writings will reflect on my culture and issues affecting the African continent, which many European and American journalists will not do. This what many have failed to realize. Thus, writing the truth about Aids and Ebola shouldn’t generate hatred, because I’m an African, not European or American.

There are hundreds of scientists in this world, who are aware that the viruses of Aids and Ebola were biologically prepared as bio-weapons and tested on Africans by the Americans, yet only one scientist, the Dutch Johan Van Dongen revealed the truth and it costs him dearly. After losing his job as lecturer in the university of Maastricht, he became an enemy and his profile was deleted for the social media ‘LinkedIn.’

European and American journalists write distasteful and degrading articles about Africa, yet when an African writer reveals their weaknesses, corruption, inefficiency, racism, hypocrisy and their devilish plans against Africa, then everyone becomes angry. Thousands of Europeans and American commit suicide daily, if an African writer suggests, Europeans and Americans should learn from Africa how they have survived persecutions, diseases long before the white man’s medicine were discovered, then everyone is angry.

Recently, in United Voice News Magazine, a journalist wrote ‘9 Out Of 10 Americans Would Perish Without Power For Over A Year If The Isis strikes.’ I pointed out that this is a total disgrace to Americans if they will depend on electricity current to survive, knowing that there are thousands of villagers in Africa, who have never enjoyed light before since they were born, yet they are the healthiest and happiest people on earth. From school, they learn, read and write with the help of only kerosene lanterns. The link: https://goo.gl/5pAAFF

Empower Playgrounds Ghana

Rural African students study with the help of a kerosene lantern and some become doctors and engineers

This article sparked another controversy and generated hatred towards me. So now every truth generates hatred because the truth hurts? If Europe  and America called themselves ‘Super-powers’ that doesn’t mean that no African journalist or writer shouldn’t expose or write against the destruction and pain they have inflicted on innocent people in Africa?

In fact, the mainstream media in Europe and America have contributed to the endless problems including terrorism and the threat of terrorism Europeans and Americans are experiencing today, because they hate to write the truth, above all they support crime.

There will be a time Europe and America will sit and say “Had we know,” but that will be too late because the weight of the destruction of the two continents will be too severe to handle.

Such Mail Isn’t From LinkedIn: Hackers Want To Steal Your Personal Information

Office 2LinkedIn, one of the world’s largest professional networks

No matter how good ‘yester-years’ were in terms of communication, business, employment, political activities, and marketing, it can’t be compared to today’s influence and effectiveness of the social media.

Yet the social media harbors all sorts of crimes and frauds, including identity and credit cards theft and ‘hacking,’ often tricking people into doing something dangerous which may either harm your computer or the revealing of personal information, for example, passwords, credit cards, and personal information.

Despite the fight against internet crime, the culprits involved are not slowing down. They always come out with new ideas just to steal or get your personal information to steal. Online, they use fake letter heads of many social media, including Twitter, Pinterest, Facebook etc, with the intention to defraud.

Below is a fake mail someone may think comes from LinkedIn. Some people easily fall victims to such frauds before they realize they have made a big mistake.

How To Promote A Book Without Using Social Media By Barbara Beckwith

Social 3Book promption without Social Media (Article Originally published in BuildBookBuzz)

Many authors think they can’t promote a book without using social media. That’s bad news for the countless who don’t enjoy using social networks or don’t want to learn how to use them effectively. (Are you one of them?)

There’s good news, though! Those who think they can’t promote books without Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, or any other social network are wrong. Publishers and authors promoted books successfully long before the advent of social media.

Those of you who want to avoid using social networks can do just that and enjoy success without posts, tweets, shares, or updates. But you can’t do nothing – you have to use other tactics to reach your target audience.

Learn nine non-social media tactics you can use to promote fiction and nonfiction in this week’s article:

Marketing beyond social media

When I asked authors in the Build Book Buzz Facebook group what they’d like to learn about through this blog, several wrote a variation of “marketing beyond social media.”

Easy.

Two of my traditionally published books sold out a combined four press runs without a single tweet, post, update, or share.

With that in mind, here are nine things you can do to promote your book without logging in to a single social media account. They’re in no particular order.

1. Guest blogging

This involves finding blogs that reach your book’s target audience, studying the type of content they use, and contacting the owners to propose that you write an article for the blog that will interest its readers.

In fact, here’s a guest blog post I wrote about guest blogging: “Guest Blogging for Authors is Alive and Well.” Here’s more advice on “How to be a great guest blogger.”

2. Book fairs

Exhibiting at these local and regional events lets you meet and converse with readers, network with other authors in your genre, and learn more about industry developments. If exhibiting doesn’t appeal to you or isn’t in your budget, attend anyway — you can still talk to other attendees, connect with other authors, and so on.

3. Publicity

People often confuse publicity with advertising. Publicity is the free exposure you get when you’re interviewed by or mentioned in the news media. I’m a national award-winnig former publicist, so you’ll find lots of information about how to get publicity on this site.

Typing “publicity” into the search box on the right generates a list of articles, as does searching for “media.”

The “Book Marketing 101″ courses (one each for both fiction and nonfiction) on the training page also teach you how to generate book publicity. You can get the tools you need — templates for pitch letters, creating and practicing memorable sound bites, the messages you share, radio email pitches, and so on — in Build Book Buzz Publicity Forms & Templates.

4. Create a holiday

It’s easy enough to create a holiday and select the annual date for it. But it’s not enough to just pick a date and call it your own. For it to have book marketing value, it has to have a direct link to your book or something in your book (for example, the author of a novel or children’s book telling Raggedy Ann’s “real” story could create Raggedy Ann Day),  and you have to spread the word about the special day you’ve created (publicity is a good option).

Once you’ve got your concept and date, get it listed in Chase’s Calendar of Events. The deadline for the next book is April 15.

If your holiday is quirky, contact the folks at Holiday Insights to get listed on their site.

5. Speaking

Speaking, which is particularly effective for promoting memoirs, has evolved to include more than standing in front of a group and sharing information they’re interested in hearing. Now it includes presenting at virtual (online) conferences and being interviewed on podcasts.

Authors and public speaking: 5 reasons to be an author who speaks” will talk you into speaking to groups about your favorite topic.

6. Email marketing

Social media serves a purpose, but if the social networks you use disappeared tomorrow, what would you be left with?

Nothing.

But you own your email list. Even Mark Zuckerberg can’t take that away from you.

Build a fan base and get to know many of them better by creating an email newsletter that encourages recipients to share information with you. Get an overview of the process in “Building your author e-mail list,” then read, “What should I send to my author e-mail list?

7. Book signings

This is a great tactic for extroverts, especially those who enjoy public speaking, because today’s book signings are about entertainment, not books.

Jane Sutter Brandt explains how she had a blockbuster event in “How to sell out at a book signing without being a celebrity.” Learn what popular young adult author Megan McCafferty does at her book signings to keep people engaged and entertained in “Best selling YA author Megan McCafferty adds unique signature feature to book signings.” Get how-to tips from “Your book signing event tool kit.”

Consider doing yours at a venue that’s related to your book’s topic instead of a bookstore, too.

8. Create an event with other authors

Do this locally at a library or at a function room at a book lover’s conference such as the Dayton Book Expo. Collectively, you can Entertainmentattract a large audience of people who enjoy reading the types of books you write.

9. Meet with a book club

You don’t need social media to find and connect with book clubs. You do need to write the type of book that clubs read, though, and you need to do a few other things, as well (including finding book clubs). Learn how it works in “Authors and book clubs.”

Pick the one option of all of these that appeals to you the most and learn how to do it well. You will see that you enjoy book promotion more — so you’ll probably do more of it. That, in turn, will lead to more success.

Take that, Twitter.

What do you do to promote your book that doesn’t involve social media?

Keep On Writing Until The Bones Are Rotten

Bones 2Photo credit: Pixgood.com

It’s unfortunate that many have already given up or quit writing, because the book which they thought could make them bestselling author, has totally disappointed them, terminating the desire to be a good author.

In a world of which thousands of books are published yearly and affected by the rapid decline of reading, many are struggling in the field of writing with shattered dreams.

What is making the situation worse, is the sick habit of some famous writers, that often used Social Media platforms to discredit other writers’ work, as a way to draw readers’ attention to their works or gain more recognition and fame.

Again some unknown and new writers that want their voice heard or recognition, resort to undermining other writer’s work on social platforms as well. I have read such distasteful comments about other writers over and over wondering: Why some people live with greed and selfishness, aiming to achieve whatever they are looking for?

As a matter of fact, if one is intelligent to write a book, that intelligence is enough to teach the person that “Success comes to people that wish others success. They should make research and find out: “Whoever digs a hole against someone will surely fall into that hole himself.”

As an aspiring writer, what pushed you into writing? What are the motives that triggered your desire into book publishing, money or fame? I’m interested in these questions, because if you’re an aspiring or new writer, entering into the field of publishing, with the desire of becoming a millionaire over night, then I’m sorry, you will end up disappointed and depressed.

This is the situation many aspiring writers are facing today. What many writers have failed to realise is that: Stepping into the field of book publishing as a new writer, is like a stranger making proposal to a woman he finds attractive. She doesn’t know you, she therefore needs more time to know your background and where you come from.

This investigation or proposal may last a month or years, depending on what kind the lady is. After her investigations, if she is satisfied, she will accept the man’s proposal and marry him. The same way it takes a short or very long time for readers to accept or reject your book as an author.

If you have this in mind, as a new writer, before entering the field of book publishing, you will always be happy, easy and relaxed, no matter how poor or fast your books are moving. There shouldn’t be a competition in book publishing. If your book doesn’t suit this generation, another generation will accept it. The reason many writers become famous years after death.

There is a time for everything. A time to sow and to harvest, sickness and healthiness. Thus; there will be a time the underestimated shall be estimated. Let this article encourage you, if you have already given up or decided to do so. Even though, writing is considered to be one of the most dangerous professions, let the writing continue unabated until the bones are rotten.

How I Met Professor Johan Van Dongen: The Dutch Scientist Who Revealed Aids And Ebola Were Medical Crimes Against Africa

Johan 10

Since I share every article I write on social media platforms, I have got a number of readers, writers and authors interested in my articles, but I had no idea that there is a Dutch scientist, who reads every article I shared on LinkedIn’s social platform.

Just as a man’s desire and character show who he is, my articles revealed my identity to Professor Johan Van Dongen. He realized that not only that I’m fearless but also honest and sincere writer, who is ready to die, far as truth is concerned.

Since we have something in common and has that fearless character, he perceived that I was the right person to collaborate with to warn African leaders over the misuse of Africans, as Guinea pigs, to test drugs manufactured in Europe and America.

The conscience holds many individuals back from committing crime and as a scientist, he has the power to join the empire of deceitful scientists to plague Africans with diseases, but he chose to remain neutral.  His research dated back as far as 1972, revealed Aids and Ebola were laboratory engineered or man-made viruses.

Set to reveal those medical crimes to the world, he first published his books in his native language, Dutch, in Holland. The books were successful but the Dutch Government felt he was a betrayer or whistle blower, thus; they embarked to make his life miserable. He was fired as a lecturer at the university and faced many legal actions at the court.

Out of the blue, Professor Dongen introduced himself to me on LinkedIn’s social platform. I secretly started digging into the background of this man, since I don’t trust anybody in a country called Belgium; unless the members of the Jehovah Witness, because I worship with them every week, even though I’m not yet a full member (Not baptized.)

Professor Dongen, had already contacted some few Africans, including journalists, on those medical crime issues, to help disseminate the news and warnings to African leaders, but he was totally disappointed, because of fear. Yes! Africans pull knives and cut their brothers throat in wars and ethnic conflicts, but believe me, many are very coward indeed.

One can witness the cowardliness of an African in Europe, when an African is murdered or manhandled by the police. They will group somewhere to discuss about demonstration. When the time of demonstration comes, you will never see those you sat down with couple of hours ago, leaving one or two people at the demonstration ground to be a scapegoat.

I don’t blame them, food is very delicious, so nobody wants to miss his favourite dish. Fortunately, my scripture reminds me that: “Man shall not live by bread alone, so many times I read the Bible, to feed my life spiritually, to be able to stand any force or wickedness that comes my way.

This is the reason when the police in Holland, forgets to feed me the whole day, while behind bars for six days, I didn’t demonstrate. I was able to sleep peacefully without food for the next day. In the morning when I was served breakfast in my tiny cell, I asked the police officer: “Why I wasn’t given any food the whole day yesterday till this morning?”

My question changed his countenance and he thought I was joking. “What did you just said?” He asked. I repeated what I said. Confused and downhearted, he went and did his investigations and finds out that I was speaking the truth. He apologized and said to me: “You were too quiet, so we don’t know there was someone in there.”

The mistake they did touched them emotionally to the extent that, they gave my passport back to me and asked me to go home. Believe me, the Dutch police doesn’t free an illegal immigrant. This sounds like a tale, but the police in Amsterdam can confirm this story, above all this interesting story can be read in my third book: Overseas Chronicle-The Rome And Amsterdam Esperience.

After reading much about Professor Johan, satisfied and knowing that he is a genuine person, I responded to his invitation. He posted his two books, one captioned “Aids De Grootste Misdaad In De Medische Geschiedenis”- Translated ‘Aids The Greatest Crime in Medical History.’

As our friendship grew stronger, I realized the man’s clean heart, conscience and love for mankind. I wasn’t surprised to read that he invented artificial rat to perform his experiments, to prevent animal cruelty. This exceptional good conscience is hard to find among some of the wolf-scientists in sheep’s clothing.

It wasn’t long we decided to translate his books to English version. Translating Netherlands to English and all the scientific theory works, proved to be a very tough job. We did our best. Whether the translation was good or not, our message is to let the world, including Africa, know that Aids and Ebola were indeed medical crimes against Africa.

African leaders have disappointed us more than the ignorant Africans that claim Aids and Ebola are curses from God. The fear of dealing with Aids and Ebola crisis alone, when they confront Europe and America haunts them, thus; they chose to remain silent. But the truth is, that silence is seen by Europe and America as lack of intelligence and cowardliness.

10 Reasons Never Wish To Be A Celebrity

winona 3

Actress Winona Ryder, stole over $5,000 worth of designer clothing and accessories at the Beverly Hills Saks Fifth Avenue in 2001, despite all the fame and ‘success.’

Here comes a celebrity in glamorous dress, she wants to fly, yet she has no wings. The hungry paparazzi follow them where ever they go. Their names make the headlines in newspapers and faces appear on the television every time. That’s great isn’t it? And you wished to be one of them isn’t is? You can only taste a food before discovering how delicious or sour it tastes, because aroma or sweet scent can be deceiving.

Life is tough, so everyone wants to be successful, thus; many wish to be someone. Be careful what you wish for. If you haven’t been to someone’s farm before, you may think your farm is the biggest. No matter the weight of the problem, when hear someone’story, you’ll know that your problem is just as small as an ant or the tip of the iceberg.

Be content with what you have. Don’t be deceived. Who feels it knows it. Many smile behind suffering and live above their means, but your comfort, success and happiness, lie in your own hands. Below are ten reasons never wish to be a celebrity.

  1. Due to the thirst for fame and the desire to do something no other celebrity has done, they end up putting on degrading clothes they called it modern fashion.
  2. Many abuse the precious dignity of women by attending functions without underwear and they called it “Women Empowerment.”
  3. Many live beyond their means, buying expensive jewels, cars, houses etc; then later cry at home when running financially dry. Those in that situation often end up in shoplifting scandals.
  4. Most celebrities live in debt. The result is restlessness and lack of sleep.
  5. Many can’t handle fame, thus; they end up as drug addicts and alcoholics and often against the law.
  6. Some celebrities end up at rehabilitation centers, hospital and many commit suicide.
  7. Some date so many men and women to the extent that, by the time they are serious to settle and get married, nobody wants them, because they have misused their bodies.
  8. When many are bored, they take naked pictures of themselves and post it on social platforms.
  9. The fear of lacking behind in something or being forgotten by fans haunts them; therefore many do stupid things to attract media attention.
  10. Only few celebrities acknowledge God’s presence, as the omnipotent and depend on the gospel for salvation. Because of fame and pride many think God don’t exist and everything he or she owns comes from their effort.

There is nothing better than aiming high, following your dreams to be successful in whatever you want to achieve, but when pursuing that career, create a good name and inspire other people to follow you, because after your departure from this world, the seed you’ve sown, is what people would talk about. Would that seed be good or a bad one?
