‘Excuse me, William, the police are here to see you,’ Anita led the two officers into his office and closed the door behind her on her way out. If William Phillips was surprised, he didn’t show it. He stood and pushed his chair back from his desk. They were both fresh-faced kids and looked as if they had just graduated from the Academy.

William imagined they would be more at home by a roadside in the middle of the night attending a crash scene, than standing here in his plush office with the antique carpets on the floor and expensive art work on the walls. He noticed the female officer looking at the Joan Miro painting hanging on the wall behind him. She was obviously drawing her own conclusions as to the type of person he was…’

Gina Amos divides her time between Sydney and the Gold Coast in Australia. She is married and has two gorgeous children.

She has written two crime novels set in Sydney, Australia : ‘Secrets and Lies’ and ‘Killing Sunday’ and is currently working on the third in the Detective Jill Brennan series, ‘Asylum.’ Gina enjoys reading crime as well as writing it. The Author

Chaim Walder is an author of literature for children, adolescents, and adults. He is also an educational counselor and manager of the Center for the Child and Family operated by the Bnei Brak municipality.

Walder was born in Haifa in 1969. He attended Yeshivat Kol Torah and Knesses Chizkiyahu before getting married and serving in the Israeli army as a soldier-teacher. After his discharge he continued to work as an educator and also embarked on a writing career.

Since 1990, Walder has been a regular columnist for the Yated Ne’eman, writing about social issues. He also hosts a popular radio talk show. He heads the Center for the Child and Family, run by the Bnei Brak municipality, and is a certified educational counselor working with children who have suffered trauma and abuse.[6]

In 2003, he received the Magen LeYeled (Defender of the Child) award from the Israel National Council for the Child.
