Do You Experience God’s Miracle In Your Life?

Genesis 2I grew up in a family that strongly believes in God. At the corner of my parents’ bed room, stands a small table covered with a white cloth. On this table, lies the Holy Bible, which belongs to my mother. She wakes up early in the morning to pray without ceasing. Sometimes I see her shedding tears in her prayers, when she feels her prayers had been answered or touched spiritually.

Life, to many is sex, enjoyment, doing drugs, rock and roll, then after, you say good bye to your friends, when it’s time to go and sleep peacefully or tormented in your grave. That’s not the meaning of life. Life has a significant meaning or purpose. Watching my mother, each morning, behind the small table, I developed certain interest in seeking the face of God and started following her footsteps.

I read my Bible daily, and tried my best to live to the principle the holy book teaches. Like everyone, I wasn’t perfect, I did many things which I shouldn’t do as a child, but not in my adult hood. As I begin to mature, I started experiencing the miracle of God’s hand in my life. There are times I joke about it saying: Death doesn’t like ugly people, the reason I’m still living.

I was once carried away by the sea, because I couldn’t swim. Like Jonah in the belly of the whale and brought to the shores of Nineveh, after people gave up to save me, they watched as a mighty wave brought me ashore. The impact was heavy and the state of shock I find myself in at that moment, prevented me to put on my clothes. I walked home naked. Till now I’m scared of the sea and can’t swim.

I was once crossing a busy street in Africa, after watching both sides of the road, I felt secured to cross, but from nowhere I was caught up in the middle of the road, when a taxi hits me. Like a superman, I find my body in the mid-air, landing on top of the vehicle’s bonnet. The impact severely damaged the bonnet, but I survived.

In Africa, I was travelling on a mini-bus with other passengers. It was a very sunny day. I think the pressure in the vehicle’s Tyre warmed up to certain degrees Celsius, thus; one of the front Tyre’s exploded. The vehicle somersaulted continuously and finally landed on its side. I jumped out from the front seat without a scratch, when many were rushed to the hospital with injuries.

In Lagos State, Nigeria, I was kidnapped by armed robbers in military uniform. It was a swift action which took me by surprise. I was holding a small hand bag which attracted them. They thought probably the bag has over a million dollars. In the rear of the car, I struggled with them and wouldn’t let the bag go, while the butt of the rifles they were holding rain on every part of my body, including my head.

After every attempt failed, they pushed me from the vehicle while in motion and I landed on the ground with a force, like a bag of salt. I stood up, brushed the dust off my body and walked home. But the scars of the beating I had, can still be traced on my body today, after three decades.

In Amsterdam, I was nearly killed by a woman while on my bicycle. I fell and rolled ahead, while her front Tyre were on my bicycle. According to her, the sun partially blinded her, so she didn’t see me. I had bruises all over my body. She carried my badly damaged bicycle to a repairers’ shop and paid for the cost. Anxious to know of my condition, she called me the next day. I told her I’m doing well. That was the last time she called.

In Antwerp, Belgium, after holidays in Africa, I came back penniless with bills to pay. There was a particular one I needed time to pay 110 Euros at my son’s secondary school. That was a second letter reminding me, thus; the third letter wouldn’t be good for me. The end of the month to get my salary was still far, thus; the situation was actually disturbing.

It was winter and very dark, on my way to work, I spotted something like a folded money on the bicycle lane. I stopped and walked back to see if it’s money or mind is just playing tricks on me. Behold, it was money. I took it and unfolded it. Guess how much? Two fifty Euro notes, one ten Euro note and one five Euro note, a total of 115 Euros.

After work, I quickly went home to pay the 110 Euros to the school and used the five Euros to buy some few thing I needed most. There is no need to doubt over these stories, because they came from Joel Savage, the writer who loves non-fiction articles and books. Have you ever experienced the miracle of God’s hand in your life?

“Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.” Said Jesus at Matthew 7:7. Just as sports is good for the body, reading the Bible is good for the mind and your spiritual being.

The Controversy Surrounding Child Adoption By Homosexuals

Two men can't make a baby so they don't need a child

Gay Child adoption must be considered as a crime because innocent children get lost in the wilderness through ‘Gay-Child’ adoption.

Two men adopted a child. At home, they introduced themselves to the innocent child as their new parents. “Every child has a father and mother, where is my mother if you are my new parents?” The child asked. The homosexuals looked at each other’s face and scratched their heads and said to the small child, “We are just two men to take care of you.” That’s where the psychological turmoil of a child begins.

He has immediately realized that he has nothing called happiness in his world. Firstly, he has lost his real parents because of drug and alcohol issues, now he under the care of two fearful men, telling him we are your new parents. As young as he is the child realizes his future is bleak and uncertain. The men gave him assurance that he is going to be a happy child.

No matter how two men take care of a child, it will never be the same like a child growing with a man and woman. Some people are selfish, greedy, wicked and unfaithful. Sins of the flesh, uncontrollable evil desires, and bad habits prevent people to do the right thing even though they know perfectly well that what they are doing is wrong.

You choose to be gay because you are not interested in a woman, why then interested in a child, when two men can’t make a baby? Society is in decay, facing the threat of collapse, yet if one speaks about it, including homosexuality, he immediately becomes an enemy. Black people have endured and continue to endure the effects of slavery, racism, discrimination and medical crimes.

The world witnessed the killing of over 10 million Africans, including children, by a crazy Belgian king, called Leopold II, in Congo, yet Belgium built statues  and named streets after him. No one criticized Belgium for doing that. But Europe and America are against Africa, for saying “No We Don’t Want Homosexuality.” Stinking hypocrites. Do people think Africans are stupid? Not at all, Africans don’t feel stupid.

No African leader tells European and American leaders what to do, so America and Europe shouldn’t force Africa to accept homosexuality.  We simply don’t want it, but I’m strongly against the way some of the leaders are dealing with homosexual issues in Africa. Many Africans have suffered persecution and killings for just being gay. That’s inhuman.

Even though there are thousands of orphans and children from drug abused homes, governments shouldn’t decide that the only way to help these children is to allow homosexuals to adopt them. It’s a wrong decision. A real happy child runs to the bedroom of his mother and father every morning, not the bedroom of two mustaches.

I don’t hate homosexuals, but I don’t agree with them when it comes to child adoption. They force a child to smile and think the child is happy. We need to create a better world for the benefit of the future generation including children. Every intelligent person that cares about the future should rise on his feet, to tell the world “Homosexuals must stop adopting children.”

A Crab Doesn’t Beget A Bird: Intriguing African Proverb

Crab

Proverbs are full of wisdom. It’s part of the lives of Africans, as they are used daily. Proverbs educate, warns, and reminds everyone in whatever we do. There are thousands of proverbs in Africa. For example, these are few Ghanaian proverbs.

  • A calf that is sucking does not bellow.
  • 2. A child does not laugh at the ugliness of his mother.
  • 3. A child who is to be successful is not reared exclusively on a bed of down.
  • 4. A crab does not beget a bird.
  • 5. A cracked bell can never sound well.
  • 6. A healthy person who begs for food is an insult to a generous farmer.
  • 7. A knife does not know who is its master.
  • 8. A powerful deity is the one to whom sacrifices are offered.
  • 9. A slave does not choose his master.
  • 10. A stranger dances – he does not sing.

But I like the proverb ” A Crab doesn’t beget a bird.” This proverb is somehow translated or means “Like father like son, or like mother like daughter.”Children look at what their parents do. If a father loves and plays with a gun, he could follow his passion to commit murder.

Along the line, it happens that his son has also inherits the passion of his father, and becomes a gun lover, leading him to commit murder like his father. That’s where the proverb ‘A crab doesn’t beget a bird’ comes in. Yes! Just like the father, he has also committed murder.

Incest: Can A Brother Marry His Own Sister?

Incest

Is incest is no more a taboo? Brothers marrying sisters is now becoming common

Superstition, beliefs and performing of rituals are associated with many tribes and ethnic groups, in different parts of the world. There are many things considered a taboo. For example, Saturday is Sabbath for the Jews. It is a day for religious services and abstinence from work. Clans, tribes and people carrying out traditional values, believe in punishment when the law is broken.

Something from ages people considered a taboo is an incest: Sexual intercourse between very closely related people. But as the generation advances some of these taboos are no longer taken into consideration. Son sleeps with his mother, a father has carnal knowledge with his daughter. The news is disturbing, but they are true.

Incest is a common issue these days, even though it is illegal or prohibited. There are many stories of accidental incest love affairs. For example, a Brazilian couple looking for their mothers who abandoned them when they were children, found out later that they were searching for the same person.

Leandro had no knowledge that she lives with her own sister, Adriana. They already had a six-year daughter in their seven- year common-law marriage. That’s accidental anyway, but it’s hard to believe that now a days, many young men can’t resist the nakedness of their own sisters, hmm!

A young man interviewed over his relation with his sister said “I don’t see anything wrong with this. People look at us like we are from a different planet. I love my sister and we have a baby now.” The question is, does incest poses any health hazard? The Holy Bible speaks against incest in many ways.

Also, social scientists believe that children from incestuous affairs have higher risks for hereditary disorders. Whatever people may view incest, we have to admit that we are now in a world, people will go to the extent of fulfilling their heart wishes and desires, without thinking of any future consequences.

That ‘golden box’ God gave a woman is the most powerful thing on earth, which can push a man to follow any direction without looking back. If you want to be sure of what I’m saying, ask former American president Bill Clinton, he will tell you more about Monica Lewinsky and ask golf superstar, Tiger Woods, he also has a story to share with  Joslyn James. The two great men lost focus and concentration because of the power of the ‘Golden Box.’

Tom Jones: Why Is He Getting DNA Test If He Has Black Ancestors?

Tom Jones is recovering in hospital after he fell ill and was forced to pull out of a concert in Monaco

Tom Jones has revealed that he wants to get his DNA tested to find out if he has any black ancestors, with the music legend admitting that he has “always wondered” if he is mixed race. The 75-year-old is keen to get the test done in the near future so that he can gain a better understanding of his heritage.

Speaking to Times magazine, the star explained: “A lot of people still think I’m black. When I first came to America, people who had heard me sing on the radio would be surprised that I was white when they saw me.  “Because of my hair, a lot of black people still tell me that I’m just passing as white.”

When Tom’s mother, Freda, who is of Welsh and English descent, gave birth to him doctors reportedly asked her if she had any “black blood” after she developed dark patches of skin following her labour.

Tom clarified: “When I was born, my mother came out in big dark patches all over her body.
“They [the doctors and midwives] asked if she had any black blood and she said she didn’t know. I’m going to get my DNA tested.

“I want to find out.”
Well, if the producers of ‘Who Do You Think You Are?’ are listening, we think we may just have nabbed their first star of the next series…

The amazing front cover design of ‘The Writer Died’

Child Neglect relates to failure to provide a child’s basic needs. In Europe and America, there are organizations that assist in solving such problems or taking care of neglected children. In many parts of Africa, the story is entirely different. This is an emotional, touching and inspirational story of a young boy who finds himself in a similar situation.

Kumbe finds himself in a hostile environment, as a victim of divorce and neglect. An environment he witnesses the suffering and hustling his mother goes through to feed him. He was unhappy because his father was neglecting his family, spending his fortune on other women. He sees his adolescence as a struggle to win the support of his father.

At school, he was among the best students. This gives him inspiration to fight to educate himself. In a confused society, Kumbe spends a better part of his life visiting the library, reading and studying. Despite daily horrendous life he passes through, Kumbe excels to be an outstanding journalist and writer, attached to the president of his native country, Ghana, with enormous enthusiasm and optimism. However, in his lifetime as a famous journalist, his fame gives him nothing but hatred, jealousy and blackmail from an empire of deceitful enemies.

He stands strong and firm, destined to fight the cruel charismatic power of those forces haunting him. But they are stronger than him. Despite his wife’s moral and material support, Kumbe surrenders and dies mysteriously. Who and what killed him? “The Writer Died” is a truly remarkable book of hard life experience of child neglect, an indispensable and inspiring book for anyone that may find himself in a similar situation.

The writer tries to define, measure, classify, and understand what child neglect is like in Africa.

Let Love Be Your Identity Without Hypocrisy

Love 2

A depressed teenager

Do you know that your little kindness can completely change the life of someone? The hope of many is gradually fading. They don’t feel secure anymore and the love they are looking for, is nowhere is near. Many stay in bed for hours, yet they can’t sleep, because they lack love and good friends.

Having friends they say is good, but there are good and bad friends. Friendship sometimes burns like acid, giving you the feeling of leaving this wicked world, all because there is no love and if there is, it’s never genuine.  All over the world, including America, there are racial problems, because there is no love.

Is the Bible the best book to read? Yes! it is, but many don’t see it that way, yet the uncountable prophesies are taking place. “They will be divided, father against son and son against father, mother against daughter and daughter against mother, mother-in-law against daughter-in-law and daughter-in-law against mother-in-law.” Yes! it is taking place right now.

Where is the love that everyone needs? Where is the love which can heal the world? Where is the love that is not sold but is the most ‘expensive’ thing to get from humans? Now I know the reason Jesus said: “Love thy neighbour as thyself.” But who is our neighbour? We are the neighbours, meaning love must be part of us until the end of our lives.

We live now live in a world most people do not have compassion. Many are cruel, love violence, and have no love for their neighbour. I don’t need to be black, white, Chinese or Indian before you love me. In this cruel world, money, wealth, luxury and friends can’t make one happy. All that we need is peace and love.

Love 3

A depressed child

Let love be your identity where ever you go. Let love be radiant in your life to reflect on others. Let genuine love be the key to your life to open the doors to those that need happiness, food, and shelter. Let your love bring back those spiritually dead without hope back to life.

Let your love take away the depression, frustration, and loneliness of someone facing the hard reality of life.  Open the door for someone so that you could see his or smile. Bring sunshine in the life of one who feels darkness always around him and your reward will overflow its banks.
