Keep On Writing Until The Bones Are Rotten

It’s unfortunate that many have already given up or quit writing, because the book which they thought could make them bestselling author, has totally disappointed them, terminating the desire to be a good author.

In a world of which thousands of books are published yearly and affected by the rapid decline of reading, many are struggling in the field of writing with shattered dreams.

What is making the situation worse, is the sick habit of some famous writers, that often used Social Media platforms to discredit other writers’ work, as a way to draw readers’ attention to their works or gain more recognition and fame.

Again some unknown and new writers that want their voice heard or recognition, resort to undermining other writer’s work on social platforms as well. I have read such distasteful comments about other writers over and over wondering: Why some people live with greed and selfishness, aiming to achieve whatever they are looking for?

As a matter of fact, if one is intelligent to write a book, that intelligence is enough to teach the person that “Success comes to people that wish others success. They should make research and find out: “Whoever digs a hole against someone will surely fall into that hole himself.”

As an aspiring writer, what pushed you into writing? What are the motives that triggered your desire into book publishing, money or fame? I’m interested in these questions, because if you’re an aspiring or new writer, entering into the field of publishing, with the desire of becoming a millionaire over night, then I’m sorry, you will end up disappointed and depressed.

This is the situation many aspiring writers are facing today. What many writers have failed to realise is that: Stepping into the field of book publishing as a new writer, is like a stranger making proposal to a woman he finds attractive. She doesn’t know you, she therefore needs more time to know your background and where you come from.

This investigation or proposal may last a month or years, depending on what kind the lady is. After her investigations, if she is satisfied, she will accept the man’s proposal and marry him. The same way it takes a short or very long time for readers to accept or reject your book as an author.

If you have this in mind, as a new writer, before entering the field of book publishing, you will always be happy, easy and relaxed, no matter how poor or fast your books are moving. There shouldn’t be a competition in book publishing. If your book doesn’t suit this generation, another generation will accept it. The reason many writers become famous years after death.

There is a time for everything. A time to sow and to harvest, sickness and healthiness. Thus; there will be a time the underestimated shall be estimated. Let this article encourage you, if you have already given up or decided to do so. Even though, writing is considered to be one of the most dangerous professions, let the writing continue unabated until the bones are rotten.

Can We Rise Above Negative Attitudes And Hurtful Feelings?

Have faith and depend on Jesus

People pray during a mass held outside the public school where 12 children were killed by a gunman last week in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

In the community, your neighbour can be your enemy, your brother can be your enemy and your sister can be your enemy. When two people have a difference, both often become angry. The reason we see sons rise against fathers, daughters against mothers, brother against brother and sister against sister.

Some of the painful and hurtful things in life, is when you don’t know where you went wrong, or the mistake you did, but someone hates you. You try to reason with the person, making efforts to settle, but since he has bad intentions, he isn’t prepared to make peace with you. Perhaps you have experienced a similar situation.

There are people who take other people’s quiet nature, submissiveness, and humbleness, as stupid or foolishness. Before you start hating someone, probably your close friend or relative, sit down with him, face to face, to let him or her know what the problem is. You can’t just begin calling the person a liar, fool and going far to tell your brother or sister of stealing your money to wed his wife or her husband, by writing letters.

Some people like to live a simple life, even though they can afford everything, including a car, yet he or she prefers to use a bicycle to work. That doesn’t mean that the person is stupid or has failed in life. If you live with pride and arrogance and wants to advertise your wealth, go on, because not everyone is interested in what you do.

People who live with pride feel very intelligent in their own eyes. When they are talking to you, they try to make you understand or believe they are the most intelligent people on earth. But the more you remain silent, to listen or read whatever they write, the more you see how stupid and foolish they are. Even the ten foolish virgins are all intelligent.

Most people often never think of how pride can be destructive. There was once a man who lives in Amsterdam. He was very famous, because of the way he lives and boastful nature. Anytime he travels to Africa, he demolishes part of the house he was building, suggesting to the builders to build a modern house, even though the plan of the house they were following was a modern plan. He was never satisfied with any modern house since he changes his mind frequently anytime he sees a beautiful house.

Unfortunately, he was involved in a serious crime. After serving his prison sentence, he was deported to Africa. He now lives in an uncompleted building over a decade. As human beings, we need to be careful of the words that come from our mouth. There are words once spoken, they will come back to hurt or haunt you. You can’t reject something, then later want it back. You can’t take your brother to court when he asked you to sit down with him to solve the problem amicably.

Your uncontrollable anger and pride, are driving you to execute devilish plans against your brother, but nothing is working. That brother you are fighting against is using his precious time, seeking the intervention of Jesus, to give him the patience to endure the pain and temptations he is going through. And it works. Once you read your Bible each day or go to church to worship each Sunday, you learn certain practical principles, which will help you to overcome the hardest obstacles ahead of you.

I posted this article to encourage everyone facing any difficulties in life, to trust and believe in God. Try Jah’s love when everything fails. Seek the face of Jah in the world’s most widely read book: The Bible. It encourages us to cultivate qualities, such as discernment, love, kindness, insight and patience. Above all the Bible can help you to promote peace and heal emotional wounds.

What’s Dominating Us In This Generation

Dangerous 2

Original article posted by daniabbott11: (November 1, 2015)

In our time today, a lot of useful things had evolved. Communication, hobbies, studying, and a lot more can all be done easily. Everything is modern in this generation. People are becoming great in their field of work and interests. Great musicians are everywhere, great writers, great poets, great thinkers, great scientists, great athletes, great entertainers, great technologists and a lot more great people. But how are we doing with being a plain person? Are we also doing a great job?

We are living today in a world where beauty and fame is the main measurement of being a person. Notice how all we see today in the television and in the magazines are just pretty faces. Of course, one component of being a celebrity is having a pretty face, but do we take notice of those people who are not that pretty but offer a lot of talent, do we give them an opportunity to make themselves shine? What about those people who are great thinkers but are too shy to make themselves notice?

Do we take notice of them and do we help them express themselves? And notice how cheaters, thieves and liars are dominating us. In school, cheaters are given high marks while those who studied and didn’t cheat sink at the bottom of the class. Look at the cheaters graduating and becoming thieves, liars and forever cheaters. Take notice of the people working hard but still whatever they do seems like it’s never enough. Why? It’s because we take them for granted.

When someone famous gives a shallow and stupid statement it goes trending worldwide and when someone talks about something sensible and intelligent we judge them for being too boring or worse we won’t even care. This only proves that we are letting fame, beauty and lies dominate us. Great ideas are dominated by shallow thinking. Great work is dominated by lies and fame. “Who cares who did this and that? Who cares who said this and that?

They’re not famous anyway.” Why don’t we make them famous instead of those we keep on worshipping when they don’t even contribute to the betterment of this world? I’m not saying that it’s wrong to entertain ourselves once in a while, it’s not wrong to love some artists, it’s not wrong to love what we’re seeing but what is wrong is letting those things we love dominate our society. It is wrong to let those we see, watch, hear and idolize takeover of what we’re supposed to be thinking and doing.

That’s the main reason why we’re getting worse. People are hating each other because they don’t like the same artists, smart people are being stupid because stupid people are becoming more stupid, people are willing to kill just for power and fame, it won’t be long when we’re all acting and living like cavemen. Sensible people are losing hope in living, can we blame them? Can we judge them for being weak?

No, we can’t because the forces of those people who are blinding themselves with greed and nonsense are becoming too strong. Smart people opt to stay quiet instead of being judge. No, they are not weak, some of them are not shy, they just don’t want to stoop down the level of mediocrity and shallowness in thinking of those people surrounding them.

From Thug to Scholar: An Odyssey To Unmask My True Potential

This is a journey through my life where being intelligent and following the didactic spiritual teachings of my parents got me laughed at and teased until I adopted and embraced a thug mentality. I became a prisoner of my mind by seeking to please and to gain acceptance from others.

Thug

Chasing a masked lifestyle that was opposed to my God-given potential, I was no different from the millions of people who chase materialistic things, lifestyles, and religions to please their parents, friends, or partners. Most of these people wake up unhappy, unfulfilled, and unable to identify the person reflecting back in their bathroom mirror.

I was that person for many years, but I transformed and this book will inspire you to transform and unmask your true potential. Life lessons and fascinating journeys will be shared to demonstrate how I unmasked and went from a thug to a scholar.

Dr. James Arthur Williams is an assistant professor in the College of Business at James Madison University. Dr. Williams is a published scholar. He graduated from Park University (BS in Management/CIS), CMU (MS in administration), UOP (DM in Organizational Leadership), and ISU (PhD in Hospitality Management), and played collegiate and professional arena football.

“At the age of 13, I was selling crack and lost my virginity,” Williams said. “By the time I was 17, I had two children.”  Williams said he broke his parents’ hearts and it bothered him that they cried, but not enough to change him at that point.

Williams said that it is important, no matter who you are, to take the mask off and be yourself.
“Thugs are not the only people who wear masks to please others,” Williams said. “There are people who are working professionally and are so unhappy. They live in misery, but they wear that mask.”

Williams said it is a freeing experience to take off the mask and be yourself.  “You have got to give yourself permission to be happy — and that means knowing who you are and what makes you happy,” Williams said.

The military gave Williams a chance to find out who he was, he said.  “I said I don’t care who they are, if they can teach me to be a better person, I wanted it,” Williams said. “I wanted to be the best James Williams I could be. But you know the military isn’t the only option.”

Williams said there is one question to ask yourself.  “Are you doing whatever you are doing because you considered this to be the only way you can survive?” Williams asked. “If you are, then you aren’t walking in your God-given potential.”

Williams asks what is the worse that could happen?  “Death is going to happen, so what are you afraid of,” Williams asks. Williams said it isn’t an easy task, but the work is worth it. He would have the same advice for a person who is in prison. Work hard to change your circumstances. Help is there if you are determined to change your life.

“As I was writing my book, I realized God was there all along to help me,” Williams said.
Williams is married now to LaToya. They have two children, Jay, who is 11 years old, and Jocelyn, who is 5.  He has two older daughters, Jasbriana, who is 16, and Tia, 18.

Williams said he is an active father and works to show his children that he will be there for them.  He will have a book signing today at Olive Chapel Baptist Church in Elm City from noon until 2 p.m.  There will be refreshments and people can ask Williams questions.
