Belgium: Jef Merckx, Bamboo Bicycle Already Manufactured In Ghana Before You

History remains incomplete, because certain facts about Africa, have been swept under the carpet by Europeans, just to hide the truth and portray Africa as ignorant.

Is it true that apart from the looting of Africa’s rich mineral resources, including gold, diamond, Copper, Bauxite etc; the Europeans stole ideas from Africa to develop Europe, while they underdeveloped Africa?

In today’s (3/17/2016) Gazet Van Antwerpen, one of Belgium’s newspapers, was an article about Jef Merckx, introducing a Bamboo bicycle in Belgium. According to Merckx, Bamboo bicycle is lighter, faster and ecology, with the photo of him and the Bamboo Bicycle he has manufactured.

After reading the entire article, there wasn’t any indication anywhere in the article that Bamboo bicycle is long manufactured in Ghana, by a woman called Winifred Selby, who started her production at the age of 15. It is likely that Ghana is the first country in the world to manufacture Bamboo bicycle.

Like Always, Belgium has denied Ghana-Africa’s intelligence and knowledge and given the credit to someone who has stolen an idea from Africa, above all from a woman. What a shame?

There are many reasons journalism is said to lose its credibility. Gazet Van Antwerpen’s publication giving credit to Jef Merckx, as the manufacturer of Bamboo bicycle is one of them. Without investigation, they just published the stolen idea and knowledge from Africa. This is a mockery to the entire Belgian media. I told you so, and I will always tell you.

I DON’T EVEN WANT TO PUBLISH JEF MERCKX’s PICTURE ON MY BLOG, BECAUSE HE DOESN’T DESERVE IT.

Below is an article I published last year about Miss Winifred Selby.

African Politics Is Like A Man Answering Nature’s Call Without Toilet Paper

MerkelGerman’s Angela Merkel and Ghana’s Nana Akofo-Addo: Do African politicians know how European and American politicians underestimate them?

Have you ever been to the toilet and after easing yourself you found out that you have no toilet paper in the roll set? The lost hope, uncertainty, and hopelessness, not knowing exactly what to do, is exactly the situation of Africans under corrupt and greedy politicians in Africa.

My heart aches when I see Africans queuing in those hot temperatures to cast their votes for corrupt, greedy and useless politicians. For a very long time, Africa has been a caricature, a puppet and a laughing stock in the eyes of Europeans. You will know the disrespect Europeans and Americans give to Africa when you live in Europe, you will never know that when you live in Africa.

Africans are considered sub-human beings or the least important people on this planet. The reason  Europeans invaded the continent. After decades of slavery, suffering, and colonization, African leaders are still considered stupid by Europe and America, because they still repeat the same mistakes they did.

How many countries make Africa? If out of all the head of states in Africa, only South Africa’s Thabo Mbeki; Nelson Mandela and Zimbabwe’s Robert Mugabe, are the only presidents to tell Europe and America that Aids and Ebola are medical crimes against Africa, what are the rest of African head of states doing or saying?

There is no continent which has suffered more than Africa, yet African leaders don’t take the suffering masses into consideration to improve the standard of living because all that they are interested is to steal from the government coffers to Switzerland.

Let’s assume Africans can’t read, so we don’t know that Aids and Ebola are medical crimes, but help has come close to us when a European scientist, Johan Van Dongen, after four decades of research revealed the diseases weren’ natural. They were manufactured in the laboratory for bio-warfare purpose and tested on Africans, yet African leaders still haven’t reacted. Is that stupidity or intelligence.

Professor Johan Van Dongen could have remained silence like other scientists, after discovering that Aids and Ebola were medical crimes against Africa, but because of the love he has for the continent, he published his findings, which cost him dearly. He lost his job as a university lecturer because the government(Holland) was angry with him. How would the world view African leaders? Stupid or intelligent?

African leaders attend conferences and seminars overseas. They feel so fortunate and happy to take pictures with advanced countries leaders, but they don’t feel that way. They feel they are standing with morons, incompetent and corrupt politicians, that years after colonization can’t help fellow Africans or develop their countries.

In Ghana, there is a proverb which says, “If one washes his hands well, he will end up eating with the king on the same dining table.” If African leaders want to be respected by the outside world, they should show a little intelligence and patriotism, because they have disappointed Africans for too long.

Keep On Writing Until The Bones Are Rotten

Bones 2Photo credit: Pixgood.com

It’s unfortunate that many have already given up or quit writing, because the book which they thought could make them the bestselling author, has totally disappointed them, terminating the desire to be a good author.

In a world of which thousands of books are published yearly and affected by the rapid decline of reading, many are struggling in the field of writing with shattered dreams.

What is making the situation worse, is the sick habit of some famous writers, that often used Social Media platforms to discredit other writers’ work, as a way to draw readers’ attention to their works or gain more recognition and fame.

Again some unknown and new writers that want their voice heard or recognition, resort to undermining other writer’s work on social platforms as well. I have read such distasteful comments about other writers over and over wondering: Why some people live with greed and selfishness, aiming to achieve whatever they are looking for?

As a matter of fact, if one is intelligent to write a book, that intelligence is enough to teach the person that “Success comes to people that wish others success. They should make research and find out: “Whoever digs a hole against someone will surely fall into that hole himself.”

As an aspiring writer, what pushed you into writing? What are the motives that triggered your desire into book publishing, money or fame? I’m interested in these questions, because if you’re an aspiring or new writer, entering into the field of publishing, with the desire of becoming a millionaire overnight, then I’m sorry, you will end up disappointed and depressed.

This is the situation many aspiring writers are facing today. What many writers have failed to realize is that: Stepping into the field of book publishing as a new writer, is like a stranger making a proposal to a woman he finds attractive. She doesn’t know you, she, therefore, needs more time to know your background and where you come from.

This investigation or proposal may last a month or years, depending on what kind the lady is. After her investigations, if she is satisfied, she will accept the man’s proposal and marry him. The same way it takes a short or very long time for readers to accept or reject your book as an author.

If you have this in mind, as a new writer, before entering the field of book publishing, you will always be happy, easy and relaxed, no matter how poor or fast your books are moving. There shouldn’t be a competition in book publishing. If your book doesn’t suit this generation, another generation will accept it. The reason many writers become famous years after death.

There is a time for everything. A time to sow and to harvest, sickness and healthiness. Thus; there will be a time the underestimated shall be estimated. Let this article encourage you if you have already given up or decided to do so. Even though writing is considered to be one of the most dangerous professions, let the writing continue unabated until the bones are rotten.

Books: Special Branch War- Slaughter in the Rhodesian Bush. Southern Matabeleland And Bitter Sweet

Africa 2

This searing account primarily covers Ed Bird’s Special Branch (SB) service in the Beitbridge area of southern Matabeleland, 1976-1980, encompassing Operations Repulse and Tangent of the bitter Rhodesian ‘bush war’.

Joining the British South Africa Police (BSAP) in 1964, Bird cut his teeth on Selous Scouts ‘pseudo’ operations during Operation Hurricane in 1974-1976, so was well equipped to deal with the insidious escalation of the ZANLA and ZIPRA campaigns in the south of the country.

A meticulous recorder, Bird implemented and maintained the Beitbridge SB incident log, and it is this diary of terror and death upon which Bird’s account hangs, interspersed with detailed accounts of fire fights, ambushes, landmine blasts, ZANLA executions, traitors and assassinations, SB ‘dirty tricks’ and ‘turning’ terrorists.

Although first and foremost an intelligence-gatherer, Bird thrived on combat and against all protocol inveigled his way onto Fire Force operations and as an air mobile MAG machine-gunner on converted Police Reserve Air Wing aircraft. Decorated for bravery but overlooked for promotion, Bird’s BSAP career became victim to spurious political expedience.

Are You A Victim Of Hate? Don’t Worry Be Happy

Happy 7

Hatred, jealousy, loving, backstabbing, gossiping etc, are all part of the aspects of human life. Even though to be a victim of hate or finding yourself in a center of hatred, especially when you have done anything wrong, can be very disturbing, one should always consider him/herself lucky when someone hates you. This sounds stupid isn’t it? You will later find out how your happiness kills your enemies without your knowledge.

In the first place ask yourself: Why this person does hate me? What does he or she wants from me? What have I done to him or her to deserve this? Knowing perfectly well that you haven’t done anything wrong to deserve what you are going, will give answers to your questions.

The reason may be that: You’ve got something special and unique. This may be your intelligence, personality, beauty, dressing, humbleness, success etc; which that person wants or wish to take them away from you but all seems impossible.

However, why do you need to be happy when going through such life difficulties? When someone is tormenting your life and you easily begin to show your weakness and the effect on you, the person becomes very happy indeed. It makes him or her feel that she is driving you insane.

Happy 10

Once you show that weakness, that’s when he/she will continue with his or her plans to make you more miserable. But when she sees you happy, that automatically kills her appetite to continue with her devilish plans to harm you. Frankly speaking, there is nothing which kills someone who hates you more than to see you smiling, laughing or happy.

I believe that Jesus Christ, as a great teacher knew this, the reason he said “You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ But I say to you, Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you.”

A Glance At The Lives Of Great Minds Without Degree

Imagine a world without education or any educational institute, how would life be? Yet there are many people that have significantly created enormous impact in the world, without higher education.

Millionaire 3

Approved Index, a business to business platform researched on the world’s 100 richest people and discovered that thirty-two percent of them did not have a degree. Twenty-two percent who did attend university studied engineering, while twelve percent read business, making these the best degrees for those with billionaire aspirations. The arts accounted for only nine percent.

This article doesn’t mean that education or studying for a degree isn’t all that important, since it is easier for educated people to be successful than the uneducated. The research also revealed that North America accounted for 40 percent of the wealthiest people on the planet, while Europe provided 29 percent and Asia 22 percent.

Do you remember the lyrics of the song “You Can Get If You Really Want” by the Jamaican Reggae Star Desmond Dekker?”

“Persecution you must bear
Win or lose you’ve got to get your share
You’ve got your mind set on a dream
You can get it, though harder them seem now

But you must try, try and try
Try and try, you’ll succeed at last.”

The lyric of this wonderful song encourages and inspires. For whatever reasons which prevented you to attend a high school or attained a degree, that shouldn’t be a barrier towards your aims and objectives, once you’ve set your mind on a dream.

Inventor. Visionary. Genius. Dropout. Adopted. Steve Jobs was the founder of Apple and he was all of these things.  Steve Jobs has been described as a showman, artist, tyrant, genius, jerk. Through his life he was loved, hated, admired and dismissed, yet he was a living legend; the genius who founded Apple in his parent’s garage when he was just 21 years-old, revolutionising the music world. He single-handedly introduced the first computer that could sit on your desk and founded and nurtured a company called Pixar bringing to life Oscar wining animations Toy Story and Finding Nemo.

Bill 2

So how did the man, who was neither engineer nor computer geek change the world we live in, making us want every product he touched?

On graduation day in 2005, a fifty-year-old Steve Jobs said: ‘Today I want to tell you three stories from my life, That’s it. Just three stories’. The first story is about connecting the dots. My second story is about love and loss. My third story is about death.

This is his story…

Critically acclaimed author Karen Blumenthal takes us to the core of this complicated and legendary man, from his adoption and early years through to the pinnacles of his career, his dismissal from his duties at Apple (for being too disruptive and difficult) to the graduation where he gave the commencement speech just 6 years before his death, giving life to what were soon to become some of most famous quotes of his career, ending with the message:

Stay Hungry. Stay Foolish. And I have always wished that for myself. And now, as you graduate to begin anew, I wish that for you.” “Your time is limited, so don’t waste it living someone else’s life.”

Mark Zuckerberg, the youngest Person of the Year named by Time magazine since Charles Lindbergh in 1927, has grown in prominence as rapidly as the company he founded in a Harvard dorm room in 2004. The public’s appetite for insight into Facebook and its founder seems nearly insatiable. Curiosity abounds regarding Zuckerberg’s personality and management style, since fictional Hollywood portrayals and Wall Street whispers have painted a broad-strokes portrait of the young CEO that is at best only a fraction of the truth.

Bill 3

Given Facebook’s current $58 billion market capitalization and 845 million worldwide users, there is clearly more to Zuckerberg than any over-simplified caricature could convey. The Boy Billionaire: Mark Zuckerberg In His Own Words is the first and only book to detail the visionary thoughts and opinions of Facebook’s founder entirely through direct quotations from Zuckerberg himself. It is the most intimate and most authoritative look at the man behind Facebook’s once-a-generation success, the tech heir-apparent to Steve Jobs and Bill Gates.

Like those two pioneering entrepreneurs, Zuckerberg has proven to be a calculating and sometimes ruthless strategist with a steadfast commitment to his vision. Facebook exists somewhere between a social utility and a model of 21st century business, leading next-gen tech companies through an economic climate still scarred by the dot-com bubble of the early 2000s, but increasingly driven by the inevitability of a global marketplace built on social media technology.

Facebook’s potential is unknown, but the key to its success depends on Zuckerberg’s own ideas and vision. This book serves up his most thought-provoking insights, as researched and chosen by George Beahm, the New York Times bestselling editor of I, Steve: Steve Jobs In His Own WordsThe Boy Billionaire: Mark Zuckerberg In His Own Words provides crucial illumination of Zuckerberg and the company he’s created, emphasizing insights, business strategies, and lessons learned. It is essential reading for people who seek innovative solutions applicable to their business, regardless of size, and makes an ideal gift or reference item for anyone interested in this newest of American business icon.
