Contemporary slavery, also known as modern slavery, refers to the institutions of slavery that continue to exist in the present day. Estimates of the number of slaves today range from around 21 million to 29 million.

Modern slavery is a multi-billion dollar industry with estimates of up to $35 billion generated annually.

The United Nations estimates that roughly 27 to 30 million individuals are currently caught in the slave trade industry. The Global Slavery Index 2013 states that 10 nations account for 76 percent of the world’s enslaved. India has the most slaves of any country, at 14 million (over 1% of the population).

China has the second-largest number with 2.9 million slaves, followed by Pakistan with 2.1 million, Nigeria with 701,000, Ethiopia with 651,000, Russia with 516,000, Thailand with 473,000, Congo with 462,000, Myanmar with 384,000, and Bangladesh with 343,000.

Mauritania was the last nation to officially abolish slavery, doing so in 2007; yet 4.3% of the population still remains enslaved.

Despite being illegal in every nation, slavery is still prevalent in many forms today.

Slavery also exists on a smaller scale in advanced democratic nations, for example the UKwhere Home Office estimates suggest 10,000 to 13,000 victims. This includes, forced workof various kinds, such as forced prostitution.

The UK has recently made an attempt to combat modern slavery via the Modern Slavery Act 2015. Large commercial organisations are now required to publish a slavery and human trafficking statement in regard to their supply chains for each financial year

Slaves can be an attractive investment because the slave-owner only needs to pay for sustenance and enforcement. This is sometimes lower than the wage-cost of free labourers, as free workers earn more than sustenance; in these cases slaves have positive price. When the cost of sustenance and enforcement exceeds the wage rate, slave-owning would no longer be profitable, and owners would simply release their slaves. Slaves are thus a more attractive investment in high-wage environments, and environments where enforcement is cheap, and less attractive in environments where the wage-rate is low and enforcement is expensive.

Free workers also earn compensating differentials, whereby they are paid more for doing unpleasant work. Neither sustenance nor enforcement costs rise with the unpleasantness of the work, however, so slaves’ costs do not rise by the same amount. As such, slaves are more attractive for unpleasant work, and less for pleasant work. Because the unpleasantness of the work is not internalised, being borne by the slave rather than the owner, it is a negative externalityand leads to over-use of slaves in these situations.

Modern slavery can be quite profitable and corrupt governments will tacitly allow it, despite it being outlawed by international treaties such as Supplementary Convention on the Abolition of Slavery and local laws. Total annual revenues of traffickers were estimated in 2004 to range from US $5 billion to US $9 billion, though profits are substantially lower. American slaves in 1809 were sold for around $40,000 (in today’s money)[citation needed]. Today, a slave can be bought for $90.

Poverty Is A Tool Used To Sustain Crime

Poverty is a tool used to sustain crime

What’s this little boy thinking about this European? Are they coming to give us another disease after Aids and Ebola?

“Tell me the truth, I hope you are not bringing in any new disease, after Aids, Ebola and Lassa Fever.”

Not everyone is interested in lies, hypocrisy and crime, the reason my blog has been one of the successful blogs, attracting readers worldwide from over 185 countries.

With the Dutch Micro-Surgeon and scientist, Johan Van Dongen, we shall continue to profit from the weakness and incompetence of the foreign media, (Europe and America) to give the general public hungry for the truth over Aids and Ebola.

We are putting on the Armour of truth, just like last year, without changing our identities and style of writing. Those so-called super powers, World Health Organization and Center for Diseases Control, fighting hard to cover up those medical crimes in Africa, should bow their heads in shame and ask God for forgiveness, if African leaders are weak, scared and failed to deal with the issue.

There are so many organizations worldwide, fighting to alleviate poverty. Poverty stricken countries appreciate their efforts and will continue to give them every necessary support they deserve, yet it needs to be said, that effort is like going to the river side with a basket to fetch some water. It’s a total waste of time and energy.

Poverty alleviation is a dream of illusion. It’s only a poor man’s hope. The so-called super powers wouldn’t let it happen. How can the corrupt Europe and America pharmaceutical companies profit from man-made diseases plagued on Africans to sustain their economies?

If Africa becomes like any of those advanced continents, where would America and Europe turn to, when ready to find people to use as Guinea pigs, to test those manufactured contaminated and diseased drugs?

In the eighties, some people, including famous celebrities were diagnosed with HIV. Many are still living today, while millions of HIV patients from 1980 have perished and continue perishing. This is enough evidence that the drugs sent to Africa for HIV/AIDS patients are either fake or contaminated to increase the plight of Africans.

Another evidence is that the corrupt Europe and America pharmaceutical companies established this plan to make a profit out of Africa’s misery. It will be recalled that last year Micro-Surgeon Johan Van Dongen published an article entitled

“Any African HIV Patient That Swallows AZT Tablet, Is A Lunatic” as a warning to African leaders. Reference: https://goo.gl/qXE2SC

Both the European and American governments are secretly at war with anyone who tries to ruin the profit-oriented pharmaceutical companies since it’s the lifeblood sustaining the economies. This is the reason Dr. Jeff Bradstreet was killed, just some few days after publishing a research based on the claim that vaccines caused autism.

Just like always, the European and American media covered up the crime relating to his death and published that he was found in an apparent suicide, and died of what seems to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound to his chest when there wasn’t evidence that Dr. Bradstreet had any suicidal tendencies.

Following the mysterious death of Dr. Bradstreet, Micro-Surgeon Dongen published this article:

The corrupt pharmaceutical companies

Dr. Jeff Bradstreet was murdered for opposing autism-vaccine because the corrupt pharmaceutical companies consider him a threat to ruin business

Living in such a world that cares about money than the welfare and health of people is very dangerous. Poverty is indeed a tool used to sustain crime. Some of the police and judges are paid from crime and cheap labor rendered to the government institutions, from criminals thrown into jail. Do you expect this to end poverty? Blessed are the merciful, for they shall obtain mercy.

The Killing Indulgence: Don’t Be A Slave To Drug Abuse

Drug is something if you go into it, you can't get out of it.

The use of hard drug like cocaine has increased rapidly destroying the lives of many people

Crime and illegal activities, like drug peddling, are destroying our community and putting the health of individuals in danger. The disastrous effect of drugs on mankind is a global phenomenon that governments are yet to find a common solution. Consumption of dangerous drugs is tearing Europe and America apart, just like how AIDS has completely ruined Africa. On almost every street in Europe, junkies are commonly seen, especially in Spain, Germany and Holland. Hard drug has transformed able-bodied men into some fearful creatures like actors set for a horror movie.

Some are gaunt at the edge of death. Others have lost their families and properties. Some are insane leading them to permanent confinement in mental institutions. Similar to fight against terrorism worldwide, governments are fighting against drug abuse to ensure good health for its citizens. The drug menace, destruction and its drastic effect on people have dented and inflated the medical cost of many countries which citizens have been plagued by illegal usage of harmful drugs.

Every continent including America and Europe is at war over drug trafficking for almost a century. Surveillance and security at airports and border posts have increased but still hard drugs find its way into the hands of Americans and Europeans, taking its toll on citizens. Mexican drug barons and Italian mafias through different illegal sources bring drugs to the shores of Europe and America. Even though thousands of drug traffickers have been arrested, yet deadly drugs are still flooded in America and Europe.

Once hooked on drugs, they can’t do without them. The more they take it, the more they want it. In order to satisfy their demand, junkies resort to stealing anything they could lay their hands on. This has caused a sharp increase in crime. The question is: Are the authorities winning the war on drugs? The harvest is plentiful but the labourers are few. Despite previous and recent progress in arresting drug dealers and seizing tons of illegal drugs, the trade still goes on unabated.

Drug

Is the  “The global war on drugs is it yielding positive results or failing? From every angle, one could clearly see that the war on drugs is totally futile. New research has revealed more dangerous illegal drugs have become cheaper while their potency increased, indicating that efforts to control the global illegal drug market through law enforcement are failing.

War on drugs has totally failed that governments wish to consider decriminalizing drugs in a bid to cut consumption and weaken the power of organized crime gangs. Until the war on drugs is successful, many will continue to live in the abyss, taking them into their untimely grave. Harmful drugs had spread to the extent that it is tried by many people including children and pregnant women, putting the babies’ lives in danger.

Children are now using cocaine in large quantities like adults. It’s very hard to see one you loved consumed by drugs. In fact, the war on drugs is the responsibility of everyone. Parents have a role to play as well, by letting your child know that you have concerns about his well-being, educating the child on how dangerous drugs can be. When the child is already deep into drugs the only solution is to enter the child into rehab.

The Harm Is Already Done: The African Continent Is On The Verge Of Total Collapse Without Remedy

Leader 3

By Joel Savage and Johan Van Dongen

“Those who ignore history are doomed to repeat it.” The truth in this axiom can’t be ignored, since African politicians and leaders failed to protect Africans and Africa, after the horrifying events of colonialism and medical crimes in the continent of Africa. Africa is a continent citizens are used as Guinea pigs and rats to test all dangerous drugs manufactured in Europe and United States of America.

Whatever medical crimes during and after colonialism, that took place in Africa, is just the tip of the iceberg, the entire African continent is on the verge of total collapse, which will destroy its economy beyond remedy. Lack of education, expertise, and poverty are some of the causes which have rendered Africa, remote and helpless, to depend on the West and America for miraculous solutions, giving them the free license to continue harming Africa in a ‘friendly’ manner with impunity.

Despite all the raw materials Africa has, the economy, health system and educational institutions, still remain weak and fragile. Years after colonialism, Africa still depends heavily on former colonial masters. Many times I asked, the significance of independence in Africa, when leaders still bring their pans, begging for food and financial aid in advanced countries.

Since African leaders heavily depend on the West and the United States of America, whatever economic or financial crisis Europe and America faces, affects Africa. Aids is a disease killing thousands of Africans each day, yet there are HIV/Aids patients in Europe and America, who are still living after got the disease twenty years ago.

So what kind of medicines are Europeans and United States of America supply to Africa to deal with its HIV/Aids and Ebola patients? One thing African leaders need to realize now is, the more they depend on the West and America, the possibility to face more economic and medical crisis, because the use of Africans as rats to test drugs will continue unabated.

Leader 2

In the past, America used homosexuals, mentally handicapped and homeless people to test their evil drugs. Ex-president Bill Clinton has apologized; promising history will not be repeated. That means Africa is the only continent easy to penetrate to commit their heinous medical crimes.

If Ebola is not a medical crime, why should Sierra Leone, Guinea and Liberia experienced it at the same time in West Africa? How long will African leaders sit aside and look while Africa becomes a dumping ground for all unwanted stuff from Europe and American and Africans used to test all dangerous drugs?

On many occasions African leaders participating in conferences and forums in Europe and America, will do everything to avoid being interviewed by an African journalist, because they are scared to face the reality, questions they aren’t prepared to answer, but ignorantly they don’t know that most of the questions from European or American journalists were taken from African journalists they collaborate with.

This is the time for African leaders to hold summit in the interest of the continent and find solutions for its porous and weak economy, because the world’s banking system is on the verge of collapsing. It’s always starts from Greece. Despite the European and U.S. governments’ efforts to bail out Greece and prop up the stock market, the global banking system came tumbling down like the Berlin wall in 1989. Now it’s clear history wants to repeat itself.

Leader 1

The votes of African citizens bring politicians into power. They should therefore protect, improve the educational and health institutions for the benefit of the citizens, including children. If Africans, African-Americans or Africans in the Diaspora, continue to face abuse of human rights and injustices, then African leaders aren’t special. They are just a laughing stock in the eyes of European and American leaders.
