Multinational Corporations And Corrupt African Leadership

Corruption 6When a government in Africa is corrupt, there are also some MNCs and their shareholders who stand behind this government and push it to become more corrupt. Whenever a government becomes autocratic denying its citizens freedoms and rights, there are MNCs behind providing weapons to exact violence against its people.

Whenever there is a corrupt politician in Africa stealing money meant for schools, hospitals, roads, and delivery of safe water and sanitation you have a big MNC bank assisting in the transfer of the money to safe haven destinations.

This cosy relationship between the political and business elite in Africa and MNCs in Europe and North America does not only affect governance but it is one of the main reasons why economic underachievement, poverty, hunger and instability permeate almost all African countries.

The parasites who parade themselves  as leaders of the continent have for over the years colluded and connived with MNC vampires who since the days of slavery have been the main instrument used by western countries to strip Africa of its rich resources and to keep its inhabitants desperately poor.

Global Witness has produced documents that have implicated American, Belgian, British, French, German, Japanese and Chinese firms and business entities. The dirty tactics employed by western governments, the MNCs, World Bank, IMF, WTO are responsible for the demise of the African continent. Western countries led by the US, Britain, France and lately by China, continue to sell weapons to horrible dictators to crash democratic forces throughout the continent.

They continued to finance brutal wars  in Africa ( Libya, Somalia, Ivory Coast, DRC) with the aim of keeping Africa destabilized while their corporations steal the natural resources such as  oil, gas, gold and other precious metals complicit with western media.

In a similar vein Global Financial Integrity has demonstrated how western MNCs working in Africa used fraud accounting, tax evasion and other financial malpractices to cheat Africans of the billions of dollars that could be used to develop the continent. IMF and World Bank on their part are in cahoots with MNCs and western creditors to sell their toxic economic policies and poisonous, heavily laden conditional loans to African countries that keep them in odious debts that they spend so much of their GDP in servicing them to the neglect of the human security needs of their people.

Switzerland, hiding behind her discredited illegal financial and banking secrecy laws and infrastructure, continues to play host to more tan $150 billion that is siphoned off from the continent annually by the political and business leaders.

Do We Have To Trust A Dog Than A Human Being?

Blind 2

Is dog trustworthy than man?:A guard dog leading the blind

Have you ever being a passenger in a train, bus or a tram, then another passenger comes in with his or dog? Did you notice the reactions and facial expressions of other passengers who don’t like animals? Action speaks louder than words. Some people hate animals to the extent that they develop hatred for animal lovers.

We have read it many times and sometimes finds it hard to believe or understand when people, even though have children but give everything they own or prepare their will for their pets. In New York, an accountant and pet owner left a fortune of around £I million to her dog to enjoy a happy life after she dies.

In Germany, a German Shepherd called Gunther became one of the world’s richest animals after his owner, a German countess, left the dog $145m (£95m) when she died. Many may call such people bad, wicked, pitiless, or people without compassion, the fact that they don’t care about the suffering of people.

The question is: Why is that many people are homeless, dying of hunger, yet certain rich people prefer their animals to inherit their wealth? When you go deep to find out the reason many give their wealth to their pets, you can find out that a lot have been hurt by other people, including their own family. People have lost confidence and faith in other people, because of  bitter experiences they find it hard to forget or forgive.

If you want to test how cunning, unfaithful and dishonest a man is, give him an inch, he will take a yard, or give him a yard, he will take a mile. Dogs are trained to serve the blind for the rest of his or her life, but man can’t. A dog can be with the blind every day without grumble, but man grumbles. Man has no patient to serve his fellow man, even to love his woman for the rest of his life. The reason there is so much separation and divorces worldwide, but a faithful dog never leaves the master.

Life is full of many challenges, thus; the happiness of many people depend on their pets. Instead of hating someone because you hate dogs or cats, cultivate love in your heart, for both the animal and the owner, that will make you appreciate and see the beauty of every living creature on earth, because they all have breath like a normal person.

The Reason I Forget My Birthday Every Year

birthday 3

Many people worldwide, happy or satisfied about whatever they have achieved in life, wished to be thankful by celebrating birthdays. Many spend thousands of dollars, including celebrities, to celebrate birthdays in grand style, giving expensive gifts, including cars to their loved ones.

I may be lost in this world, even though I’m part of this generation, because every year, I forget my birthday. Either my son or wife comes to ask me “Do you know that today is your birthday?” Before checking the calendar to remember that I was born 19th of January. This may sound stupid, but it’s true, because I don’t value birthday.

As a father, the rapid decaying of the society, terrorism, immorality, the decline of Christian activities, the influence of negative activities and the encouraging of all bad things by head of churches and world leaders are my concern, the reason every year, I forget my birthday. I may die today and be gone tomorrow, but what about the life of our children?

Many African children born or raised in Europe are bold to tell parents that there is no God, when in Africa; your child can’t tell you such nonsense. Who are they following and what is influencing them? When I make up in the morning, after asking for God’s protection, I ask God to protect my three sons and lead them to marry women when they grow, because I don’t want to die of shock.

As a writer, my passion lies in writing and reading. Sometimes I forget that the whole day I haven’t eaten. Like every writer my ambition is to create something different in the world of literature, thus; what’s the significance of birthday celebration when I can’t even remember the day I was born?

I don’t think I will ever celebrate my birthday, because it a normal day for me, above all I think children deserve birthday not adults. During birthday parties across the world, plenty of food are thrown into the trash, yet the poor are starving, while thousands go to bed without food.

Not at all, birthday celebration is not part of, but I will be very glad, when my social media friends remind me when it’s my birthday. That’s genuine love, because I love them too.

Hunger, by Knut Hamsun.

Hunger 4

Knut (Pedersen) Hamsun was an internationally renowned Norwegian novelist, dramatist, poet, and winner of the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1920. Knut Hamsun received the Nobel Prize for his novel Growth of the Soil.Growth of the Soil is a very special, extremely well written, spectacular book. However, it is only one among many spectacular books by Knut Hamsun.

The book that first launched Knut Hamsun in the European literary scene was Hunger. When asked about the book, he told a friend, “What interests me are my little soul’s endless emotions, the special, strange life of the mind, the mysteries of the nerves in a hungry body.” And that is exactly what the book is about. An extremely strange book, and a literary revolution in the making when it was written – a lit torch thrown right in the face of the predominantly social-realist European literary establishment of the time. Its refreshing viewpoint and impulsive, lyrical style had an electrifying effect on European writers.

To many observers, Hunger presaged the writings of authors such as Franz Kafka and other twentieth-century novelists, with its internal monologue and bizarre logic. It is impulsive, electric, esoteric, and confusing, but also written with the sharp and distinctive style that characterizes Hamsun. The novel breaks grammatical rules and it’s tenses skip around. The language itself is used as a means to show the state of mind of the main character and to energize the story.

Meeting Oprah

After going into private practice, Dr. Phil soon realized one-on-one therapy wasn’t for him. He then launched a popular self-motivation seminar called Pathways. In 1989, he built a company called Courtroom Sciences. The venture helped trial lawyers build cases using psychology by conducting mock trials, behavioral analysis, jury selection and mediation.

It was through Courtroom Sciences that Dr. Phil met Oprah Winfrey. In 1996, she was being sued by cattlemen who claimed she defamed the beef industry on one of her shows, and Oprah hired Dr. Phil to assist during the trial. After helping her win the case in 1998, Dr. Phil became a regular expert on Oprah, dealing with life strategies and relationships.

With his catchphrase, “Get real,” the plain-spoken doctor served up common sense advice rather than self-help jargon. His tough demeanor made him a psychologist that even men felt comfortable listening to.

Dr. Phil has been married to his wife, Robin, since 1976. They have two sons, Jay and Jordan.
