Could Africa Be The Toughest Continent In The World?

LIES 3Told over and over again are also called the media.

Journalism is the activity of news gathering, assessing, creating, and presenting the information to the general public. That’s the simplest way I can define this profession. But there is more involved in this profession. They are dishonesty, hypocrisy and blatant lies, which have caused lost of trust of viewers and readers.

The European and American media will let you understand that Africa is the most dangerous continent in the world, yet violence and the high rate of  crime in America exceed the crime rate in Africa. How many Africans keep pistol or guns in their homes, like Americans? Africa needs an answer.

The Western and America media will let you understand that Africa is a continent that lacks education, affected by corruption, poverty and plagued by diseases, such as malaria, Ebola, Aids, Lassa fever and other deadly diseases. But the teenage pregnancy threatening Europe, especially Britain alone, is overwhelming. Thus, if lack of education is one of the causes of teenage pregnancy, then are African teenagers more intelligent than British teenagers?

SLAVERY AND MEDICAL CRIMES

Throughout Europe and America, the only definition a child knows about Africa is: ‘A poor continent.’ But for ages, there is no European and American journalist intelligent enough to ask: How are we going to cope up, handle or survive, if the calamities which had fallen on Africa in the past and present fall on us? In this way we need to learn from Africa how we can survive in times of adversity. Americans were scared to death when a Liberian was diagnosed with Ebola on American soil, while Africa is painstakingly dealing with this medical crime in West Africa with courage.

The Africa continent has suffered slavery and all kinds of terrorism and persecutions during the colonial era, shaping the pattern of  lives of its citizens, both psychologically and physically, making Africans one of the strongest and toughest creatures living on the planet today. On National Geography are documentary films showing how to survive when lost in the desert and mountains, but Africans already live on the desert and in mountains.

In some villages in Africa, many haven’t seen electricity before, yet they are happy and each day, they follow their normal activities. Which European or American can live a normal life without electricity in his or her entire life? Endurance, pain and experience have structured the African continent in a way that they could stand the hardest conditions. This is the reason Africa is still standing on its feet despite every evil thing they’ve experienced in the hands of Europeans and Americans.

Europe and America knew long time ago, the incredible strength of Africa, but they are scared and find it embarrassing and a sort of disgrace to learn how Africans survive on that harsh continent. Instead they planned to cause confusion, depopulate and destroy the continent to make its citizens unhealthy.

SUICIDE RATE IN EUROPE AND AMERICA

Despite all the problems that Africans face daily, only few commit suicide. This should be something to inspire Europe and America to find out: How and why only few people take their lives in Africa, so that we could learn something from them? Europe and America politicians and the media will never do that, instead they always try to find a way to inflict pain and destruction against Africans.

Below is the ‘World Suicide Rate’ per country published by The Washington Post.

Suicide rates per 100,000 people
Austria 13.8
Belgium 18.4
Britain 6
Canada 10.2
Czech Republic 12.7
Denmark 11.3
Finland 16.5
France 14.6
Germany 10.3
Greece 2.9
Hungary 21.0
Iceland 10.4
Italy 5.5
Japan 19.4
Luxembourg 9.5
Mexico 4.4
Netherlands 7.9
New Zealand 11.9
Norway 10.9
Poland 13.8
Portugal 8.7
Slovak Republic 10.9
South Korea 24.7
Spain 6.3
Sweden 11.1
United States 10.1
 Notes: Data is for 2005.
Readers you can see that there is no African country mentioned in this suicide list. It is time for the European and America media to respect Africa, and stop underestimating the continent. Africa may not have powerful weapons and ammunition like Europe and America, Africa may be poorer than Europe and America, Africa may have weak and fragile health-care systems, yet Africans are hundred percent physically and psychologically strong than Europeans and Americans. The world should know this, because the bias European and American media won’t tell you.

How Violence Takes Away Our Joy And Peace

Aiport 2Tighter airport security is necessary but are we free from terrorism?

Everyone wants to live a peaceful and happy life, instead many wake up in the morning with fear, because of constant violence erupting around us. Innocent victims, including children are caught up daily, in heinous crimes and violence, making living more difficult.

Many, including religious people, feel that violence is the right answer to provocation, in this way, they kill and praise God for that killing. It’s actually difficult to understand the reason some religious people praise God for killings.

I can understand why many have lost faith and even think God doesn’t exist, but the Bible teaches that violence originated with the archenemy of both God and man: Satan the Devil, whom Jesus Christ called “a murderer.” (John 8:44)

Apart from terrorism which continue to steal our happiness, most of our own misery comes from our homes. The world’s infatuation with media violence, games and unwholesome programs, influence children to indulge in crime. In America many children take gun to school.

The question people often ask is: Why is there so much suffering? Does God care about what humans are enduring? You can find answers to these questions when you read the Bible.

“Truly, I say to you, among those born of women there has not arisen anyone greater than John the Baptist; yet he who is least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he.  And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffers violence, and violent men take it by force.” Matthew 11:11-20.

In the midst of fear, hopelessness and uncertainty, we need to ask, who are we to depend on for our deliverance or safety? Are we to depend on politicians or church of leaders?

To me politicians have ruined our society more than the terrorists terrorizing us. As for church leaders, some have signed contract with the devil to please them, the reason many have gone astray.

In our present generation, one shouldn’t count on politicians and or some church leaders. The only way we can live in peace is to find ways to make positive changes in our behavior. We should cultivate the habit to forgive and forget, because forgiveness brings relief and comfort.

Above all we should always remember the words of the great teacher, Jesus Christ: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ Matthew 22:39.

Choosing A Wholesome Entertainment For Children

Ban dangerous games on the television

The love for money has encouraged companies to manufacture dangerous games for children

Very often psychologists and psychiatrists trace the cause of our present day ailments to homes.  Homes have straightforward stories to tell. The set up of our homes, immediately convey the message to a visitor the nature and character of those dwelling there and the sort of training or life being acquired from it.

Living in unsafe community, low-quality child care, lack of resources, broken homes, divorces etc; are some of the causes affecting children. Even though entertainment is said to enhance children’s education, it is said to be one of the major factors which affect children’s behavior. What programs are children watching on the television or what kind of games are they playing?

Unsafe, violent and crime games, are yearly produced by ‘Games Manufacturing Companies’ for children. Those companies called them ‘entertainments’ for children. The strong desire for money prevents them to see the harm they are doing to children. Staying hours playing these violent games continue affecting and shaping the lives of these children.

When a child starts cursing, using bad words at home or school is the time the child needs admonition from parents or teachers. They often learn those bad words from the programs they watched on the television or the games they play. The next thing is asking for fake or toy guns for their birthdays. A mother who loves her child will do everything to make him or her happy.

However, buying a toy gun for your son on his birthday, because he wants it, is a way of training your child to be a gun lover. The reason in the United States of America, many children are involved in juvenile crimes, relating to shootings. Yes, some children indulge in entertainments that graphically portrays immoral behavior.

Think, for example, movie and radio stations. Some movie stations feature only violent movies and some radio  stations play sadistic and demonic music. Violent hip-hop or rap music, become some children’s favorite music. They don’t only sing, but they do the violent things the songs preach. When violently erupts, it doesn’t only sweep along those that called for it, but also innocent victims. That’s the sad part of it.

People are confused about religion. Islam they say means ‘Brotherhood, Togetherness, and Peace, but what we see now is terrorism engulfing our neighborhood, discouraging parents to speak to children about the Gospel  or to embrace Bible principles. Religious violence shouldn’t prevent mothers to encourage children to adhere to educating and inspiring Biblical principles.

Education starts from home and what parents teach children from early childhood, become part of someone’s personality and characteristics. Therefore, the things kids learn from their parents have a lasting impression on people. Thus; parents should be careful about teaching their kids the moral values and responsibilities to the society.

10 Reasons Racism Has Never Been An Issue Of Concern To Me

All we need is love

Love conquers everything, so that’s what we need for a healthy society.

Racism is the belief that a particular race is superior or inferior to another, that a person’s social and moral traits are predetermined by his or her inborn biological characteristics. Racial separatism is the belief, most of the time based on racism, that different races should remain segregated and apart from one another.

This evil ideology or belief has caused bloodshed, unrest, and death in our society and still continue to tear our society apart today. Churches and organizations continue to discourage racism and strengthen relationships without success. In the world of racism, the Black man is the one that suffers most and being discriminated against, yet no one wants to be called a racist. Below are ten reasons I don’t care much about racism, even though I feel sorry for victims of racism.

  1. Racism is a chronic incurable disease, which can’t be cured or eliminated but can be reduced.
  2. Tribalism is a form of racism in Africa, the reason in Nigeria, the Yoruba hates the Ebo.
  3. In Ghana, the Gas hates the Fantes.
  4. In Sierra Leone, the Mende hates the Temni.
  5. In America, African-Americans draw guns at each other, killing and slashing their own brothers’ throat.  Why do they complain about racism, when they hate themselves?
  6. Head of churches and government officials secretly support racism.
  7. In Rwanda, the Hutu hates Tutsi.
  8. The black man has completely lost his identity through slavery. That identity can never be recovered.
  9. Many African-Americans have neglected Africa and even hate to be referred to as Africans. Being proud of where they came from and showing love, will give them the love and respect they deserve. Above all, there are black racists too.
  10. Children are not born racists. Adults continue to teach them at home and schools, so racism will never come to an end.

Taking the above reasons into consideration, it is a total waste of time to spend hours worrying about racism or an incurable disease. I think this is the reason Sebb Blatter said, racism in football should be ignored and settled with a handshake.

Child Soldiers: Children Who Don’t Know What Classroom And Education Are

Child soldier 4

Young boys are often lured by some African leaders to fight for ‘freedom’

Third World Countries are plagued by crisis. Among the most critical is poverty, which has taken hundreds of children out of the classroom. Children are the world’s greatest resource, future leaders, and assets to national development, thus; it is, therefore the right of every child to be educated; unfortunately, worldwide many children aren’t aware of what education is, instead serving as slaves under child labour and serving as child soldiers in fields and wars.

As a child growing up in Africa, I find myself in an environment witnessing how many parents struggle to educate their children. Every weekend, I go hawking as a trader with banana, eggs, and bread, just to make some extra money to help my parents to keep me in the classroom. In the early hours of the morning a friend of mine sells newspapers as a vendor, before coming to school at 8 A.M. Despite the global assistance and benefits from advanced countries, many children in poor countries have no access to education.

There are no words to describe the plight of children roaming the streets in Africa, Asia, and South America, due to poverty. In the rural areas, imagine a school without a roof, as children sit and learn under shady trees. Imagine a child who carries his table and chair to learn and after school carries them back home. The classrooms haven’t any tables and chairs thus; the parents struggling to educate their children must provide those tables and chairs, with difficulties sometimes of buying textbooks.

Poverty hasn’t only taken children out of school but has also brought misery, sickness and exposing them as prey to physical or sexual abuse, having a devastating impact on families and communities. Due to poverty parents engage children in child labor, in order to improve their chances of attaining basic necessities. Extreme poverty statistics in parts of Africa, Asia, and Latin America has pushed many children there to become child laborers.

How the European Union is making a difference in Somalia

World Bank President Jim Yong Kim, once told a Georgetown University student that he experienced racism as a young Asian-American growing up in Iowa, but that he learned the true meaning of his identity when he began working to end poverty in Haiti, one of the world’s poorest nations. The stride to end or alleviate poverty is a costly and long-term process; it has therefore become illusion than a reality and also loan was given to poor countries to fight poverty, often lands in the pocket of corrupt government officials. However, many foreign agencies, foundations and private associations are supporting and financing educational projects in Africa.

In Somalia, the European Union and its member states are collectively the largest donors in its educational development. The country has the weakest educational structure in the world and will not achieve any of the Millennium Development Goals on education by 2015. The European Union support focuses on creating primary and secondary education opportunities, vocational training and boosting employment.

The United Kingdom as part of the donors assisting Somalia launched Girls Education Challenge, worth £21.3 million to get girls into school and ensure that they receive the quality education and the new government-run program called Go2School  to give a free elementary school education, has been successful putting  at least 1 million children into the classroom.

CHILD SOLDIER 1

An Untold Story: How I survived in Rome And Amsterdam As Illegal Immigrant

Life of a roofless man

Life as illegal immigrant: Sleeping at the central train station in Rome

As a child growing up in a strongly religious family, I was thought that everything which is opposite to the teachings of the Holy Bible, including laziness is a sin. I tried my best to live a clean life. We were thought to believe that Israel, Jerusalem, and other Biblical countries were all in heaven, without a slight knowledge those countries were all on the same earth we are living.

When I left my family and looking for a job, I tried to be sincere and prevented doing anything wrong which could land me in jail. I read that jail changes people’s attitude to be good or worse. But I wasn’t interested to know the positive or negative influences of jail on people. My only interest is never to be there because it’s not the right place for me. Did I ever succeed?

Amsterdam 11

Amsterdam

After going through the most difficult chapters of my life as an illegal immigrant in Rome, by sleeping at the central train station, I worked as a house boy serving an Italian journalist. I was able to save some money as an illegal immigrant, because, the Romans like tax evasion, which of course never improved my situation to be documented. I therefore, shifted camp to Amsterdam.

In Amsterdam, I lived in a notorious neighborhood called Bijlmer, known for drug and arms trafficking. It’s a home for illegal immigrants. The blocks had tenth floors. On many occasions illegal immigrants resisting police arrest jumped to their death. The news of Bijlmer never ceased appearing in newspapers. Investigations revealed that as low as 200 Euros could get one a gun, crime in Bijlmer, therefore was abnormal.

The man I lived with at Bijlmer, deals in fake European and American passports. I was scared to death. Within three days through a pastor of a church I was attending, I relocated. A week after leaving the place, police invaded the apartment of the fake passport dealer and arrested everyone. It was the biggest news in Holland. Those arrested were jailed five years each. I escaped my first jail sentence. Holland is a country which has sent many illegal immigrants to Africa. Many of the illegal immigrants deported were caught on train, trams or metro without tickets.

Some were caught riding on stolen bicycles. I wasn’t ready for deportation. To prevent deportation, I went on foot to any place in Amsterdam. Some of my journeys were long and tedious. Some could take me between two to three hours. On many occasions, I picked up broken parts of bicycles from the bush or roadside, brought them home to fix them.

Despite all my efforts to steer away from crime, I thought I was free but I wasn’t. After four and half years in Amsterdam Bijlmer and still illegal, I met a lady who promised to help me get my papers. She took over five thousand dollars from me. Unknowing she was a criminal preying on illegal immigrants. When the immigration police invited us for my documents, I was arrested and thrown behind bars.

The woman knew I will be deported because that was what had happened to all her victims. The police told me who she was. She has never been jailed for her previous crimes; she therefore never ceased to prey on innocent victims. Behind bars, my deportation to Africa was very close. I was given three square meals daily and shower once a day. But one day something wrong happened to me. No shower and I weren’t fed for the whole day. Instead of protesting, I was quiet until the next day. When I was served food the next day, I asked them why they did that to me the previous day. The officer who taught I was joking, later found out that I was speaking the truth.

According to him I was very quiet so the officers on duty failed to realize that someone was in the cells. Because of this particular error they made, they handed back my passport to me and set me free. “Whatever I went through as illegal immigrant in Europe, sleeping at the central train station in Rome, detention in Amsterdam and what I’ve seen in my life had made me what I am today. I am now a Belgium national living in Antwerp, with my wife and three children.” I will encourage readers to get a copy of this book. It’s shocking.
