Why Many People Lie About Their Age?

Age liars

Is it lack of confidence that forces some women to lie about age?

To lie about something is wrong but  why do many lie about their age and feel happy about it? I was born almost six decades ago. If I look at myself, I see that I am still handsome, above all very strong.

The way I look inspires me so much that I am never afraid to tell anyone that I was born 1957. Whenever I am joining any social media, I never omit the day and year I was born because once you start lying over little things, it will become a habit to lead one to become a chronic liar.

I can understand that due to certain ailments many look older than their real age but if you are a normal healthy person, please stop lying about your age because it can ruin your reputation and shatter your confidence if someone finds your real age.

I remember asking a woman of her age and she asked me to guess. I said she is in her forties but what ensued warned me never to guess a woman’s age again. According to her, she is 27. I understood her reaction immediately, the reason women lie more about their age than men. I don’t know if women feel older than men, even when still in  their twenties.

Asking a man of his age is never taken as an offense but woe unto you to ask a lady of her age. They don’t take such questions likely at all. Many take it as an insult, shameful, or rude to ask of age. If you really feel proud of the way you look, I don’t think it’s necessary to lie about your age

A woman entering into a relationship may lie about her age for many reasons including lack of self-confidence but how is the situation going to be if he discovers your real age? These are some the reasons those who lie about their age must think twice before they lie.

Lying about your age will never make you look younger or older but rather builds your confidence. A man likes a woman because of many things. Even the way a woman may brush her could attract a man. Love is based on truth, sincerity, and honesty not age.

There are many ways to keep yourself beautiful and attractive. Instead of going to the gym to build your body in the right shape, stop drinking heavy if love alcohol, stop smoking if you do smoke and finanly reduce the quantity of the food you eat every day. Drug abuse, excessive eating, drinking and smoking always reduce your age by gradually damaging your health.

I hear people saying that “Life is short, so let’s enjoy.” There is nothing wrong to enjoy yourself but watch carefully what you eat and drink because what goes into your body makes you who you are.

Mike Chahira: The Upcoming Reggae Star Using His Music To Fight Against Poverty And Street Children

Chahira 3

Mike Chahira: The upcoming Kenyan reggae star using music as a tool to keep children off the street and fighting against poverty.

Africa is a very tough continent plagued by corruption and poverty, with many children out of the classrooms. In an environment that many children suffer from depravity, hunger, disease, and abuse, the only way Mike Chahira think he could help the poor children is to make his voice heard through his music.

Born in Kenya, Mike, the upcoming reggae musician, according to him was inspired by the South Africa reggae legend, Lucky Dube. He was with a group called ‘Agugu Family’ for some time before he decides to go solo. Faced with many challenges, setbacks and his father’s opposition to his musical career, Mike rather focused on his career than giving up on his dreams.

In a society where it’s always difficult to get financial help to achieve your dreams, Mike’s effort to become an independent musician was like a rough journey to the top of mount Kilimanjaro. The video of his song ‘African child’ reveals the horrible, dangerous, unhealthy, and poor living conditions of African children.

Kenya is like other African countries that care less about the plight of children. It’s not clear at the moment the number of the high rate of Kenya’s street children, but  2012 Unicef report estimated that there were 250-300,000 homeless children in Kenya, most of them in the big cities.

On June 4, 2016, I had a word from Mike that he has added two new songs ‘Drugs’ and ‘Walla Colombo’ on the Youtube. ‘Drugs’ song speaks about drug abuse, its impact, and the destruction of the society, whilst in Walla Colombo, Mike expresses his sentiments on the controversy surrounding the Rasta religion and the negative perception given to Rastafarians in the society.

Watching the video of ‘Walla Colombo’ I can clearly see the big improvement in Mike’s singing career. Definitely, one day with a little hard effort the world would hear of a Kenya artist called Mike Charira.

The Controversy Surrounding Child Adoption By Homosexuals

Two men can't make a baby so they don't need a child

Gay Child adoption must be considered as a crime because innocent children get lost in the wilderness through ‘Gay-Child’ adoption.

Two men adopted a child. At home, they introduced themselves to the innocent child as their new parents. “Every child has a father and mother, where is my mother if you are my new parents?” The child asked. The homosexuals looked at each other’s face and scratched their heads and said to the small child, “We are just two men to take care of you.” That’s where the psychological turmoil of a child begins.

He has immediately realized that he has nothing called happiness in his world. Firstly, he has lost his real parents because of drug and alcohol issues, now he under the care of two fearful men, telling him we are your new parents. As young as he is the child realizes his future is bleak and uncertain. The men gave him assurance that he is going to be a happy child.

No matter how two men take care of a child, it will never be the same like a child growing with a man and woman. Some people are selfish, greedy, wicked and unfaithful. Sins of the flesh, uncontrollable evil desires, and bad habits prevent people to do the right thing even though they know perfectly well that what they are doing is wrong.

You choose to be gay because you are not interested in a woman, why then interested in a child, when two men can’t make a baby? Society is in decay, facing the threat of collapse, yet if one speaks about it, including homosexuality, he immediately becomes an enemy. Black people have endured and continue to endure the effects of slavery, racism, discrimination and medical crimes.

The world witnessed the killing of over 10 million Africans, including children, by a crazy Belgian king, called Leopold II, in Congo, yet Belgium built statues  and named streets after him. No one criticized Belgium for doing that. But Europe and America are against Africa, for saying “No We Don’t Want Homosexuality.” Stinking hypocrites. Do people think Africans are stupid? Not at all, Africans don’t feel stupid.

No African leader tells European and American leaders what to do, so America and Europe shouldn’t force Africa to accept homosexuality.  We simply don’t want it, but I’m strongly against the way some of the leaders are dealing with homosexual issues in Africa. Many Africans have suffered persecution and killings for just being gay. That’s inhuman.

Even though there are thousands of orphans and children from drug abused homes, governments shouldn’t decide that the only way to help these children is to allow homosexuals to adopt them. It’s a wrong decision. A real happy child runs to the bedroom of his mother and father every morning, not the bedroom of two mustaches.

I don’t hate homosexuals, but I don’t agree with them when it comes to child adoption. They force a child to smile and think the child is happy. We need to create a better world for the benefit of the future generation including children. Every intelligent person that cares about the future should rise on his feet, to tell the world “Homosexuals must stop adopting children.”

The Killing Indulgence: Don’t Be A Slave To Drug Abuse

Drug is something if you go into it, you can't get out of it.

The use of hard drug like cocaine has increased rapidly destroying the lives of many people

Crime and illegal activities, like drug peddling, are destroying our community and putting the health of individuals in danger. The disastrous effect of drugs on mankind is a global phenomenon that governments are yet to find a common solution. Consumption of dangerous drugs is tearing Europe and America apart, just like how AIDS has completely ruined Africa. On almost every street in Europe, junkies are commonly seen, especially in Spain, Germany and Holland. Hard drug has transformed able-bodied men into some fearful creatures like actors set for a horror movie.

Some are gaunt at the edge of death. Others have lost their families and properties. Some are insane leading them to permanent confinement in mental institutions. Similar to fight against terrorism worldwide, governments are fighting against drug abuse to ensure good health for its citizens. The drug menace, destruction and its drastic effect on people have dented and inflated the medical cost of many countries which citizens have been plagued by illegal usage of harmful drugs.

Every continent including America and Europe is at war over drug trafficking for almost a century. Surveillance and security at airports and border posts have increased but still hard drugs find its way into the hands of Americans and Europeans, taking its toll on citizens. Mexican drug barons and Italian mafias through different illegal sources bring drugs to the shores of Europe and America. Even though thousands of drug traffickers have been arrested, yet deadly drugs are still flooded in America and Europe.

Once hooked on drugs, they can’t do without them. The more they take it, the more they want it. In order to satisfy their demand, junkies resort to stealing anything they could lay their hands on. This has caused a sharp increase in crime. The question is: Are the authorities winning the war on drugs? The harvest is plentiful but the labourers are few. Despite previous and recent progress in arresting drug dealers and seizing tons of illegal drugs, the trade still goes on unabated.

Drug

Is the  “The global war on drugs is it yielding positive results or failing? From every angle, one could clearly see that the war on drugs is totally futile. New research has revealed more dangerous illegal drugs have become cheaper while their potency increased, indicating that efforts to control the global illegal drug market through law enforcement are failing.

War on drugs has totally failed that governments wish to consider decriminalizing drugs in a bid to cut consumption and weaken the power of organized crime gangs. Until the war on drugs is successful, many will continue to live in the abyss, taking them into their untimely grave. Harmful drugs had spread to the extent that it is tried by many people including children and pregnant women, putting the babies’ lives in danger.

Children are now using cocaine in large quantities like adults. It’s very hard to see one you loved consumed by drugs. In fact, the war on drugs is the responsibility of everyone. Parents have a role to play as well, by letting your child know that you have concerns about his well-being, educating the child on how dangerous drugs can be. When the child is already deep into drugs the only solution is to enter the child into rehab.

Foxes have holes, and the birds of the air have nests; but the Son of man is homeless.

Life is very tough

A homeless woman, God only knows how she feels

In the Bible, Jesus spoke in parables, using stories and illustrations to speak to his followers. He once said, “The foxes have holes and the birds of the air have nests, but the Son of Man has nowhere to lay His head.” His teachings and parables may be rejected by non-believers or atheists, yet his teachings reflect on our lives today.

Do you know that in 2005, a global survey by the United Nations, estimated over 100 million people were homeless worldwide and as many as 1 billion people lacked adequate housing?  In Europe alone, there are 3 million homeless people, while Columbia registers 9.5 million and 24.4 million in Nigeria. There are also hundreds of homeless people in Canada, Australia and the United States of America.

There are certain factors contributing to homelessness. Physical disabilities, depression, mental illness, drug abuse, broken homes, domestic problems and lack of employment, are some of the causes leading to homelessness. At times one may be free from the mentioned problems, but certain factors can push someone to live on the street.

That’s my story. As illegal immigrant in Europe, trying to survive, I slept at rough places in Rome, including the central train station and an old abandoned Pasta factory called ‘Pantanella.’ One crossing the street or seeing a homeless person might wrongly judge the victim, but problems too tough to handle often push them to be homeless.

Like many Africans, my dream was to make it big in Europe, by going to school and take the opportunity to integrate, but soon I realized that not all that glitter is gold. To avoid being a drug addict or a thief, I took the situation as life challenges to educate and shape my life positively. While I saw friends taken over by drugs and some of them immediately going back to Africa, I remained in Rome and fought those life obstacles squarely.

Today, the man who was once sleeping at the central train station in Rome now lives with his wife and children in Europe as European citizens. On immigration issues, I consider my books to be special because they are emotional, inspiring, adventurous and educative.  ‘Overseas Chronicle,’ is a book I will recommend to every reader who loves books in the genre of non-fiction. It’s a  book that captures a reader’s attention to figure it out if the contents really took place or just an exaggeration.

I Am An African Writer, Thus; My Writings Reflect On My Culture

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

 An African painting

Once a journalist asked Chinua Achebe, one of Africa’s greatest and international known writers, the reason he hasn’t written any book about Europe or America. Achebe responded by saying that a lot has already been written about those two continents. Yes, there are thousands of European and American writers but only a few write about Africa, and what they write is disgusting, just like how the colonial masters underdeveloped the continent.

The Western and America media promote Africa as a continent of poverty, war, disease and ethnic conflicts, than a place where tons of raw materials are imported to feed, employ and develop the Advanced Countries. Even though poverty has prevented many African children  out of schools, social problems in Advanced Countries exceed what is in Africa. It is often said that one of the reasons of teenage pregnancy is illiteracy, yet Britain leads with teenage pregnancy followed by America.

Social problems

Teenage pregnancy, a common problem in Britain and America than Africa.

We need to find out the reasons educated Britain and America are facing teenage pregnancy explosion, despite their best educational facilities, while such problems are less in underestimated Africa. So who is learning? I am an African writer, therefore my writing reflects on my culture, Africa can be set on top of the mountain by the Western and American media, as number one problem continent in the world, yet Europe and America have no solutions to their innumerable social problems, including teenage smoking, drug abuse, child abuse, immorality, drug trafficking and suicide.

The face of Africa is physically and medically disfigured and tainted. Many of Africa’s hardships were caused by external factors, but how many times adults and teenagers in Africa commit suicide like Europeans and Americans?  A British or American says it’s not important to study or learn anything about Africa. Many will scratch their heads when you ask them of the capital city of an African country, yet an African child can tell you everything including the geographical positions about America and Europe. Who is the clever one?

Being an African writer residing in Europe, for a very long time doesn’t make me European. I am still an African and therefore writes like an African. The more the foreign media excavates the earth to throw dust on Africa, the more I also dig the weaknesses, immorality and every disease plaguing the European and American societies, for others, especially those in the Third World Countries, to know that not everything that glitters is gold. In fact, I don’t even think there is anything in America called ‘The American Dream’ because many are poor and roofless.

Frankly speaking, despite everything Africans have passed through, including the Aids and Ebola crimes, it’s one of the happiest continents in the world, happier than Europe and America, because they don’t commit suicide. I will repeat, they don’t commit suicide, thus; instead of the media keep underestimating Africa, they should rather write about how they survive in that harsh continent, to save the mass Europeans and Americans killing themselves.

Teenagers snog at a party

Social drinking problems are commonly seen in Europe. What are they doing?

I am very happy to be one of the African immigrants to force my way to Europe to study and learn about Europeans and Americans. There are problems everywhere but since journalism has lost its credibility, it’s no more shamefulness for journalists to write any nonsense, since, at the end of the month, they will be paid to feed their families.

I eat, drink and write like an African, without competing with anyone.  Since I have readers interested in what I write,  it makes me feel I’m writing something they like. You may put down your pen as quick as possible if you step into the writing world, with money in mind. Let your passion propel you to write without ceasing and later you will make money as a writer.

What’s Your Role To Make This World A Better Place?

While many try to save this world, others too try to destroy it.

Everyone has a responsibility to make this world a better place

The present state of human society is in many ways contrary to our natural desire for a peaceful, secure, and happy life on this earth. Things are falling apart and the society is disintegrating. The society is plagued by diverse problems, including drug abuse, child abuse, domestic violence, crime, child trafficking, sex trafficking etc.

Corruption is so severe that it has gone into governmental institutions, healthcare, and educational systems. Many want to leave this earth, even though it isn’t yet time to die, thus; contemplate of committing suicide. Sometimes I ‘m very scared to listen to the news, because what one hears can ruin your day, sometimes days or even weeks.

Many think life has no purpose, so they don’t value it any longer, but if one realizes how precious life is, he will find out the means to live a better life. Suppose you think the comfort of life is a luxury, so you need  the fastest car, expensive mansion etc, you can have all them and still be miserable because the heart of man is dark and greedy. The man has dominion over all things as a human being but due to pride, greed, power and selfishness, we have abused the planet.

There is no justice without the dollar. The rich getting richer, while the poor getting poorer every day. But since we are still living and part of this generation, we have a role to play to make this world a better place. The harvest is plentiful, but the labourers are few. Obviously, we can’t solve all the problems of this world, yet we can do something to reduce the problems and bring a little happiness to those unfortunate ones, including children.
