You’ve Got The Power To Liberate Yourself From Depression

Suicide is not a solution to free yourself from the world’s problems

Everyone has wonderful hopes, dreams, and expectations of their future, but many times what we are looking for never come our way. Some of us have been robbed of our joy through the loss of a loved one and many feel lonely and hopeless when they find themselves in abusive homes and domestic violence.

In such a troubled world, it’s very easy to see the ailments of the society taking its toll on people. The high rate of unemployment and divorce, are also some of the causes leading to depression. It’s not surprised that psychologists have confirmed that the ailments of people can be traced from the homes and environment they were raised.

We understand that as human beings, we are bound to face difficulties in our lives, the important question is: How do we handle those problems we experience? According to World Federation for Mental Health, depression is a significant contributor to the global burden of disease and affects people in all communities across the world.

Today, depression is estimated to affect 350 million people. The World Mental Health Survey conducted in 17 countries found that on average about 1 in 20 people reported having an episode of depression. But do you know that you have the power to overcome loneliness and depression?

Why some people easily succumbed to depression and others able to resist? The happy people we often meet on the street are not super humans. They are only happy because experience in life has taught them that happiness is yourself. Someone can make you unhappy, prevent your success, or do everything to hurt you, but so long as you are a living being, you have the power, desire, inspiration or everything it takes to liberate yourself from that misery, loneliness or depression.

Fear, anxiety, depression and loneliness can easily be prevented than you know. Instead of living on drugs and alcohol, which rather increase your psychological problems, there are some recommended steps which can keep one far from loneliness and depression. Reading interesting books as a hobby can capture your imagination to avoid depression.

If you love to stay at home, please cultivate the habit of taking a walk through the gardens, doing window shopping, joining social clubs. Going to the gym to exercise once or twice a week doesn’t only keep you fit but also psychologically healthy. You may have a hidden talent but you don’t know. Find out what you are very good at, follow it and start blogging to create your happiness.

Another important factor is financial matters, which often wear people down psychologically. When facing financial problems, you need a healthy mind to find your way out not a depressed mind.  I can’t do it, I’m not sure I can succeed, there is nothing left for me in life, are all ‘symptoms’ of depression. Take away the shackle off your body and free mind from the psychological chain damaging your health.

“I’m Not Afraid To Die: Save The World Or Perish In It”-Joel Savage

Malcolm 3

The destroying of our environment, the violence erupting daily in our society, the domestic violence robbing the peace of women, the constant rape of women around the world, the killing of innocent people with biological processed diseases etc, aren’t issues of concern to many people, because they don’t care.

A victim of terrorist attack, tsunami, violence, Aids, Ebola,Ziga virus etc, has a story to tell you more than one who hasn’t experienced anything. I am an African, from a continent that has suffered all kinds of aggression, persecution, invasion, looting, diseases, depopulation and biological terrorism, in the hands of Europe and America. How do you expect me to react?

Whatever happens to an African, isn’t an issue of concern to many Europeans and Americans. Aids, Ebola, Lassa fever, Zika virus etc, were laboratory manufactured or man-made diseases by Europe and America and inflicted on Africans and Latin-Americans as bio-weapons. The media has covered up the crime in favour of those responsible for the medical crimes, yet their voices are heard anytime terrorism hits Europe or America.

Genetically modified mosquitoes are spreading Zika virus, yet the media and the American government want people to understand it’s just a normal disease. What kind of a normal mosquito that when it bites, your head shrinks? Why is America causing suffering to others? Why can’t they test the disease they invent on their own people, but they choose the poor and the underprivileged? Is that the true meaning of super-power or democracy? What kind of God America claims in him they trust?

No one cares about Africa, but I do, because that’s where I was born. If the leaders are corrupt and can’t do anything about the using of Africans as Guinea pigs for drugs testing, I will speak out, because I’m not afraid to die. If Africans and Africans in the Diaspora fear to die, then they should by the books about Malcolm X, Rosa Parks and Martin Luther King Jr, to read and learn something about them.

If those black leaders: Steve Biko, Kwame Nkrumah, Marcus Garvey, Nelson Mandela etc, were coward and fear to die, African-Americans or black people wouldn’t have reached this far. The reason I’m not afraid to die, because I am imitating them. You need to be sincere, honest or faithful person, before you can understand me, but I am not going to beg anyone to understand me, because such qualities are hard to find in people.

Many do ask me if I’m not afraid to speak against people: What a stupid question? It’s because of fear Africans can’t move forward or progress. Many don’t even have the ambition to try something in life to be successful or fail. It’s because of fear the White man leads the Black in everything today, but not because the Black man is stupid.

It’s because of fear Europe and America treat Africa bad. It’s because of fear instead of African leaders to confront Europe and America over those medical crimes, they polish the White man’s shoes to get gifts into their pockets. It’s because of fear, many Africans claim Aids and Ebola are curses from God. It’s because fear an African can’t scream or react if a White man is maltreating him.

It’s because of fear and love of  money, many Africans are pastors, yet their deeds don’t show that they are servant of God. It’s because of fear, the statue of Leopold, a king who killed over ten million Africans, including women and children, still stands in Brussels, when there is no statue of Adolf Hitler, yet there is a Black politician in Belgium. What’s his significance?

Fear, is an enemy that kills the coward million times before his real death. I want to die just once, when my time comes, so I don’t have any room in my life for fear to occupy.

Culture Or Religion Should Not Be Used By Man To Impose Duties

Taliban

Domination is not part of any true religion: It’s only a cruel and heartless man will be happy to see his wife dressed like that in the scorching sun.

Many writers are inspired by other writers. I get my inspiration by reading the Bible and comments by my readers. The reason many times I make reference to the Gospel. In the beginning, God created everything and gave man dominion over all things, but the greed of man hasn’t only brought hardships, sin, and rebellion in this word but also domination and crime.

In many parts of the world, women can’t have education, they can’t wear trousers, they can’t work, they can’t drive and they have to cover themselves from head to toe. Why, because religion says so? If women are to stay at home without education, who are going to be the doctors, engineers, and pilots after all the men have been killed in war?

“A woman is a flower in the middle of the garden and the man is the fence around it.” This is one of the African proverbs indicating how precious a woman is. Unfortunately, it is now the opposite. Women now sit outside the fence without any protection, suffering all kinds of tragedies, including rape, sexual harassment, domestic violence, and domination.

The greed of man is so enormous that it has no boundary, shifting to religion. Many Muslim men marry girls underage and they think it’s okay. How can a forty-five-year-old man marry a thirteen or fourteen-year-old girl? This is a crime. Such person should be thrown into jail for the rest of his life because he has slept with a girl who can be his daughter. They force to marry and when the woman says no, they throw acid on her face.

When Taliban came to power in Afghanistan, especially in Helmand Province, women have to cover their entire body. They are caned and stoned in public as if the executioners have never committed any sin from childbirth. On October 29, 2015, I wrote an article discouraging ‘Female Circumcision’ because it’s barbarism and cruelty against women. I received only two comments on this article but one of them touched me to share this article.

I quote “Any culture or religion should not be used by man to impose duties, discriminating, disparities and unfounded, but to protect the creatures, to give them serenity and comfort in suffering, indicate paths of joy, respecting the nature of corporeal living, always in agreement with this nature,” says erospea.wordpress.com , a lady hosting an Italian blog.

We have been told and heard many times that Islam is a religion of peace, but some people have shown us the cruelty and oppressive nature of Islam against women and beheading of Christians. Imagine in an Islamic country, which women are not allowed to mingle with men or work, so the shops have been taken over by men that sell women underwear and bra. The male shop assistant stares at the woman finding the right size of bra. What a world of hypocrisy?

Religion doesn’t mean oppression. If the Bible or Koran demands women to be submissive to their husbands doesn’t mean that women are deemed to be inferior to men or should be oppressed. The Koran says “There is no salvation for a man or a nation who allows women to rule over them.” I don’t think so. Men have dominated man to his injury, they should, therefore, give women the chance to heal the world.

What’s Your Role To Make This World A Better Place?

While many try to save this world, others too try to destroy it.

Everyone has a responsibility to make this world a better place

The present state of human society is in many ways contrary to our natural desire for a peaceful, secure, and happy life on this earth. Things are falling apart and the society is disintegrating. The society is plagued by diverse problems, including drug abuse, child abuse, domestic violence, crime, child trafficking, sex trafficking etc.

Corruption is so severe that it has gone into governmental institutions, healthcare, and educational systems. Many want to leave this earth, even though it isn’t yet time to die, thus; contemplate of committing suicide. Sometimes I ‘m very scared to listen to the news, because what one hears can ruin your day, sometimes days or even weeks.

Many think life has no purpose, so they don’t value it any longer, but if one realizes how precious life is, he will find out the means to live a better life. Suppose you think the comfort of life is a luxury, so you need  the fastest car, expensive mansion etc, you can have all them and still be miserable because the heart of man is dark and greedy. The man has dominion over all things as a human being but due to pride, greed, power and selfishness, we have abused the planet.

There is no justice without the dollar. The rich getting richer, while the poor getting poorer every day. But since we are still living and part of this generation, we have a role to play to make this world a better place. The harvest is plentiful, but the labourers are few. Obviously, we can’t solve all the problems of this world, yet we can do something to reduce the problems and bring a little happiness to those unfortunate ones, including children.
