UNDER THE DOWNPOUR: Oil Painting On Canvas By Leonid Afremov

DownpourColorful portrait painting – modern way to decorate your room

When we hear the word portrait, we imagine magnificent pictures of historical figures painted centuries ago. Keeping the noble face of a glorified political leader or great musician alive for future generations used to be the main goal of this genre – but not anymore. In our times, artists like Leonid Afremov try to find inspiration in everyday life.

An unintentionally observed scene, two strange girls in the street, a common situation repeating itself over and over again as long as the world exists – but the artist’s vivid imagination is capable of depicting it in fantastically bright colors and making it meaningful and dear to our hearts. Light up your room with this cheerful portrait painting sparkling with all shades of the spectrum!

Friendship under umbrella

It’s no secret that Leonid Afremov is fascinated by the rain. But we can rarely see it so bright and vigorous on his paintings! The rain is falling down in colorful streams painted with quick large strokes densely covering the entire canvas. Surrounded by these rainbow-colored cascades of water, the two heroines of the picture are walking barefoot under the same umbrella admiring the beauty of smeared reflections on the wet asphalt. Who are they? Old friends coming back from school?

Two sisters taking a walk together? Or maybe they just met a few minutes ago because one of them was too absent-minded to take her umbrella and the other was too kind-hearted not to offer hers? We don’t know, but they both seem to be rather delighted by this pastime. The girl on the left is painted in warm yellow shades, while the girl on the right with cold blue ones. If you look at the sidewalk on both sides, you’ll see that their silhouettes divide the canvas in two color zones.

The faces of the girls are blurred and we can’t see their expressions, but we can easily guess their mood in every centimeter of the painting. Bright, emotional and full of life, this portrait will light up the walls of your room and give it a new colorful look!

What’s Dominating Us In This Generation

Dangerous 2

Original article posted by daniabbott11: (November 1, 2015)

In our time today, a lot of useful things had evolved. Communication, hobbies, studying, and a lot more can all be done easily. Everything is modern in this generation. People are becoming great in their field of work and interests. Great musicians are everywhere, great writers, great poets, great thinkers, great scientists, great athletes, great entertainers, great technologists and a lot more great people. But how are we doing with being a plain person? Are we also doing a great job?

We are living today in a world where beauty and fame is the main measurement of being a person. Notice how all we see today in the television and in the magazines are just pretty faces. Of course, one component of being a celebrity is having a pretty face, but do we take notice of those people who are not that pretty but offer a lot of talent, do we give them an opportunity to make themselves shine? What about those people who are great thinkers but are too shy to make themselves notice?

Do we take notice of them and do we help them express themselves? And notice how cheaters, thieves and liars are dominating us. In school, cheaters are given high marks while those who studied and didn’t cheat sink at the bottom of the class. Look at the cheaters graduating and becoming thieves, liars and forever cheaters. Take notice of the people working hard but still whatever they do seems like it’s never enough. Why? It’s because we take them for granted.

When someone famous gives a shallow and stupid statement it goes trending worldwide and when someone talks about something sensible and intelligent we judge them for being too boring or worse we won’t even care. This only proves that we are letting fame, beauty and lies dominate us. Great ideas are dominated by shallow thinking. Great work is dominated by lies and fame. “Who cares who did this and that? Who cares who said this and that?

They’re not famous anyway.” Why don’t we make them famous instead of those we keep on worshipping when they don’t even contribute to the betterment of this world? I’m not saying that it’s wrong to entertain ourselves once in a while, it’s not wrong to love some artists, it’s not wrong to love what we’re seeing but what is wrong is letting those things we love dominate our society. It is wrong to let those we see, watch, hear and idolize takeover of what we’re supposed to be thinking and doing.

That’s the main reason why we’re getting worse. People are hating each other because they don’t like the same artists, smart people are being stupid because stupid people are becoming more stupid, people are willing to kill just for power and fame, it won’t be long when we’re all acting and living like cavemen. Sensible people are losing hope in living, can we blame them? Can we judge them for being weak?

No, we can’t because the forces of those people who are blinding themselves with greed and nonsense are becoming too strong. Smart people opt to stay quiet instead of being judge. No, they are not weak, some of them are not shy, they just don’t want to stoop down the level of mediocrity and shallowness in thinking of those people surrounding them.

Are You A Victim Of Hate? Don’t Worry Be Happy

Happy 7

Hatred, jealousy, loving, backstabbing, gossiping etc, are all part of the aspects of human life. Even though to be a victim of hate or finding yourself in a center of hatred, especially when you have done anything wrong, can be very disturbing, one should always consider him/herself lucky when someone hates you. This sounds stupid isn’t it? You will later find out how your happiness kills your enemies without your knowledge.

In the first place ask yourself: Why this person does hate me? What does he or she wants from me? What have I done to him or her to deserve this? Knowing perfectly well that you haven’t done anything wrong to deserve what you are going, will give answers to your questions.

The reason may be that: You’ve got something special and unique. This may be your intelligence, personality, beauty, dressing, humbleness, success etc; which that person wants or wish to take them away from you but all seems impossible.

However, why do you need to be happy when going through such life difficulties? When someone is tormenting your life and you easily begin to show your weakness and the effect on you, the person becomes very happy indeed. It makes him or her feel that she is driving you insane.

Happy 10

Once you show that weakness, that’s when he/she will continue with his or her plans to make you more miserable. But when she sees you happy, that automatically kills her appetite to continue with her devilish plans to harm you. Frankly speaking, there is nothing which kills someone who hates you more than to see you smiling, laughing or happy.

I believe that Jesus Christ, as a great teacher knew this, the reason he said “You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ But I say to you, Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you.”

The Quiet Storm

AUSTIN 2

The handsome stranger Randee Ellis hires might shield her from the dark plot against her Montana ranch, but can he protect her heart from his past?

A Rising Wind

Ripped from the rugged yet majestic Madison Valley, the Triple Creek ranch is a tribute to both the Ellis family’s dreams and the beauty of the land. It is everything to thirty-year-old Randee, even more important than children of her own. But while she and her uncle have managed the work since her parents’ death, this year it will be harder. Almost all the nearby ranches have been compromised, and a sinister plot is on the rise.

She hires the stranger against her better judgment. There’s no question he’s the handsomest would-be cowhand that ever lived, but Chase Gregory is a city slicker—and she’s been fooled before. No matter how much he makes her long for things she thought forever abandoned, until Chase admits who and what he is, and what he’s running from, there’s no way she can trust him…let alone love him, as her soul demands. A mixture of danger, despair and desire lurks behind those blue eyes and that winning smile, and Randee has yet to learn which way the storm will break.

AUSTIN 4

When I was in my early twenties I noticed that my grandmother spent her spare time reading romance novels, I asked her why she had chosen the genre. She explained that they allowed her to fall in love with handsome men without pissing grandpa off.

I read my first romance novel that year and have been reading ever since. During my grandmother’s last illness, I read to her and in those months I decided to write romances. I thought if I can help someone escape for a couple of hours from the pain or boredom in their lives, or help them see and feel a world of love and beauty that would be a worthwhile contribution to humanity.

My message in each of my books is hope. Hope that there’s someone just right for each of us. Hope that even in our darkest hour there is light just around the corner. And hope that even if life circumstances keep you from a great relationship, you can dream and love and smile.
