Perfect Storm Of Financial Collapse And WWIII-Michael Snyder

Money 5

Journalist and book author Michael Snyder says the collapse is not an event, but a “process.” Snyder explains, “I believe it is already in the process of coming apart. . . . One fifth of global stock market value is already gone.  That means we only have four fifths left.  At one point this month, $16.5 trillion had been wiped out from global stock markets since mid-2015.  So, this started last year.

We saw oil collapse.  We’ve seen junk bonds collapse.  We’ve seen commodity prices collapse.  The $16.5 trillion I just mentioned is just for stocks, and when you add up the other losses, that’s trillions of dollars more wealth that has been wiped out all over the world.  What we have seen already has been extraordinary, but we are still in the process.  People want to think of it as an event or a single day or a month, but this is a process.”

Snyder also contends, “The Baltic Dry Index dropped below 300 for the first time ever. We did not even see that during the 2008 Great Recession and financial crisis.  I didn’t know the Baltic Dry Index could go that low.  We are seeing exports decline dramatically in South Korea.  New numbers for Japan came out . . . their exports were down 12% year over year.  Exports in China have been falling month, after month, after month.  U.S. exports were down 7% for the last monthly figure we had.  India’s exports are down.  This is happening all over the world. Real economic activity is grinding to a halt.”

Snyder says the problems with some global banks are far worse than in 2008. Snyder says, “The collapse of Deutsche Bank would be a far bigger event than the collapse of Lehman Brothers was back in 2008.  If you are looking for another Lehman Brothers moment with their derivatives exposure . . . and now the biggest bank, in the biggest and most important economy in Europe, is in the process of coming apart.”

On war, Snyder says keep your eyes on the Middle East and Syria. Snyder explains, “Saudi Arabia and Turkey have to give up and cut their losses or they have to go in and do the job themselves.  The Sunni militants, including ISIS, are not getting the job done.  Turkey and Saudi Arabia are seriously considering a ground invasion of Syria.  Are the Russians and Hezbollah and Iran going to stand aside and let them do it?  I say almost certainly not and, in fact, could very easily erupt into WWIII.”

Either way, Snyder thinks we get “global financial collapse” and “World War III” but does not know which one comes first. Snyder says, “We already have the global economy grinding to a halt, but if we get WWIII, that just accelerates things greatly.  It’s the chicken or the egg, whichever comes first, but without a doubt, we are moving into a time described as a perfect storm.”

On precious metals, Snyder says, “I think silver will absolutely skyrocket in the years ahead. We like gold, but absolutely love silver.”

“Life Is Very Hard. The Only People Who Really Live Are Those Who Are Harder Than Life Itself.”

Zero 4

There are hundreds of definitions about ‘Life,’ but none gives me its true meaning, than this quote by author Nawal El Salaawi, “Life is very hard. The only people who really live are those who are harder than life itself.”  But who is this woman?

Nawal El Saadiaw has been pilloried, censored, imprisoned and exiled for her refusal to accept the oppression imposed on women by gender and class.

In her life and in her writings, this struggle against sexual discrimination has always been linked to a struggle against all forms of oppression: religious, racial, colonial and neo-colonial.

In 1969, she published her first work of non-fiction, Women and Sex ; in 1972, her writings and her struggles led to her dismissal from her job.

From then on there was no respite; imprisonment under Sadat in 1981 was the culmination of the long war she had fought for Egyptian women’s social and intellectual freedom. A Daughter of Isis is the autobiography of this extraordinary woman.

Author Nawal El Salaawi

Zero 5Nawal El Saadawi, also spelled Nawāl al-Saʿdāwī   (born Oct. 27, 1931, Kafr Ṭaḥlah, Egypt), Egyptian public health physician, psychiatrist, author, and advocate of women’s rights. Sometimes described as “the Simone de Beauvoir of the Arab world,” El Saadawi was a feminist whose writings and professional career were dedicated to political and sexual rights for women.El Saadawi was educated at Cairo University (M.D., 1955), Columbia University in New York (M.P.H., 1966), and ʿAyn Shams University in Cairo (where she performed psychiatric research in 1972–74). In 1955–65 she worked as a physician at Cairo University and in the Egyptian ministry of health, and in 1966 she became the director-general of the health education department within the ministry.

In 1968 she founded Health magazine, which was shut down by Egyptian authorities several years later, and in 1972 she was expelled from her professional position in the ministry of health because of her book Al-marʾah wa al-jins (1969; Women and Sex), which was condemned by religious and political authorities.

El Saadawi was jailed in September 1981, and during the two months of her imprisonment she wrote Mudhakkirāt fī sijn al-nisāʾ (1984; Memoirs from the Women’s Prison) on a roll of toilet paper using a smuggled cosmetic pencil.

In 1982 El Saadawi founded the Arab Women’s Solidarity Association (AWSA) and later served as editor of the organization’s publication, Al-nūn. In 1991 the government closed down Al-nūn and then, several months later, AWSA itself. Due to her outspoken views, El Saadawi continued to face frequent legal challenges from political and religious opponents, including accusations of apostasy.

In 2002 a legal attempt was made by an Islamist lawyer to forcibly divorce her from her husband, and in May 2008 she won a case that had been brought against her by al-Azhar University, the major centre of Islamic learning, that included charges of apostasy and heresy.

El Saadawi’s novels, short stories, and nonfiction deal chiefly with the status of Arab women, as inMudhakkirāt tabībah (1960; Memoirs of a Woman Doctor), Al-khayt wa al-jidār (1972; The Thread and the Wall), Al-wajh al-ʿarī lī al-marʾah al-arabiyyah (1977; The Hidden Face of Eve: Women in the Arab World), Al-ḥubb fī zaman al-nafṭ (1993; Love in the Kingdom of Oil), and Al-riwāyah (2004; The Novel).

The oppression of women by men through religion is the underlying theme of El Saadawi’s novel set in a mental institution, Jannāt wa Iblīs (1992; Jannāt and Iblīs). The female protagonists are Jannāt, whose name is the plural of the Arabic word for paradise, and Iblīs, whose name refers to the devil.

Jesus Christ: The Carpenter Who Became A Superstar

EMMA

Jesus is one of the world’s outstanding religious leaders, a teacher, philosopher and a prophet, even though the Bible doesn’t mention his name as one of the prophets.

He was an ordinary young Jew born into a family of Carpenters and he passed through a painful death of crucifixion. The fact about this great teacher is: He never commanded an army, but today many people from all walks of life and army generals bow to revere him.

He wasn’t an author, but books about him are widely read and handled by the best literature professors. He never ruled a nation but today, some world presidents, politicians and monarchs of high esteem adore him.

He never had any university education, but twenty centuries later, his works are being preached, archived and thought by best professors in science, arts and religion.

The great teacher said: “I am the light of the world.” John 8:12. Yes! He is the light of science, politics, literature, humanity and civilization. The greatest liberty ever given to man by God is ‘choice.’

Would you therefore emulate and imitate this great teacher, to be happy, faithful, sincere and healthy in life or you simply like to walk in the opposite way? In God’s kingdom, there is nothing called ‘Failure or Impossible.’

The two words of stumble block, are the tools of unbelievers, the reason many fail in life, while others succeed in life. Take away those shackles of your mind and let your faith and the truth set you free to prosperity and success.

Authors In Arms: Meeting Writer Femi Akomolafe

I have read uncountable books by European and America authors, but as an African writer, I love also the books of African writers, because they give accurate accounts of what Africans went through during the colonial era and the destruction of the continent by Europeans, since only few European and American writers are brave enough to give the right account of whatever crime they committed on that continent.

One of the African writers whose work caught my attention is the Nigerian author, Femi Akomolafe. His books on Africa are – Africa: It shall be well and Africa: Destroyed by the gods. His contemporary works include colonisation, religion and slavery in Africa.

During my recent visit to Ghana, I took the opportunity to visit him at his residence in Kasoa, a community which lies in the central region of Ghana, but close to Accra.

A passionate Pan-Africanist, Femi writes as a columnist for the Accra-based Daily Dispatch newspaper. The globetrotter Femi lives in both Europe and Africa.

His extensive work reflects on Africa-related issues in his books and for various newspapers and magazines. He was the producer of the FOCUS ON AFRICANS TV Interview programme for the MultiTV Station.

The knowledge of a writer is from his books: Akomolafe’s collection.

He is also the CEO of Alaye Dot Biz Limited Dot Biz, a Kasoa-based Multimedia organisation that specializes in Audio and Video Production. Despite his busy activities, Femi always has some time to be with family.

At his residence, I was fascinated about his huge number of books, stacked on a temporary constructed shelves, after losing almost all his property in flood. Our conversation centered on his works and what he has in store in the near future. Femi has interviewed many people from all walks of life.

You can explore more of his works on “Alaye Web Television.” – http://alaye.biz/videoscategory/focus-on-africans/

Great Men Knocked Down By Women: Will It Ever Come To An End?

Place 2Great men in sex scandals: Top, from left to right, Bill Clinton, John Profumo , Kobe Bryant and below, from left to right, Mike Tyson, Tiger Woods and Jeffery Archer.

Newspapers often come out with stories of great people, including politicians and celebrities in sex scandals, turning their lives upside down. Because they weren’t strong enough to control their sexual desire or too weak to resist the charm and power of attractive ladies. From Biblical times, there are stories of infidelity and adultery, putting many great men in the worst positions.

One of such stories recorded in the scriptures is that of King David, a composer, the author of book of Psalms. He couldn’t control his desire after seeing Uriah’s wife through his window taking her bath. After failing to persuade Uriah to sleep with his wife, to concede his sin and pregnancy of Bathsheba, David sent Uriah to the hottest part of a battle field to get him killed. God severely punished David for his sinful act and the child died after birth.

Giving examples of Biblical records of great men involved in sex scandals wouldn’t be intriguing, so let’s shift to our past and present generation. On June 5, 1963, British Secretary of War John Profumo resigns his post after confessing that he had lied to the House of Commons about his sexual affair with Christine Keeler, an alleged prostitute. The scandal didn’t affect him alone but threatened to topple Prime Minister Harold Macmillan’s government.

A couple of years ago, it was revealed that former president of the USA, Bill Clinton, is involved in an affair with a former staff of the White House, Monica Lewinski. I watched as people argued that the story couldn’t be true. Is Clinton different from other great men women had brought to their knees? To make matters worse, after Clinton’s denial of not having any relationship with Monica, he later admitted to having sexual intercourse with Monica Lewinski.

What about the boxer Mike Tyson? He was convicted and jailed for raping Desire Washington. According to the story, Tyson invited her to his hotel room. To do what behind closed doors?  Later Mike Tyson was convicted of rape.  Many believe that Desire lied of being raped by Tyson, unfortunately not everyone believe that. Mike Tyson served his prison sentence but never became the iron Mike he used to be.  In one of his fights, after coming from prison, frustrated Tyson bit the ear of Evander Holyfield. They say the downfall of a man is not the end of his life, but at times some events and situations can be destructive.

Some years back in Britain, the famous British novelist Jeffery Archer, won a libel suit against the Sun newspaper for an article about him sleeping with a prostitute. According to Mr. Jeffery Archer, the story was untrue and it damaged his reputation. The author of ‘Not a Penny More, Not a Penny Less’ was finally exposed. He admitted to having asked a friend to lie on his behalf to conceal the truth. So he did really slept with a prostitute. The startling new revelation affected Jeffery Archer such that he stepped down from contesting the seat as the mayor of London. Oh, what a shame?

On September 1, 2004 the criminal sexual assault case against Kobe Bryant, the NBA star, was dropped by the prosecutors because the accuser no longer wanted to participate in the court process.   This was after Kobe Bryant was charged with sexual assault of a 19-year-old woman in a Colorado hotel where she worked. The question is “why is it that the mighty keeps falling from the hands of women?” Is it lust, lack of control or temptation which is causing these problems? I can’t really unfold the mystery behind this.

One of such news about men involved in sex scandals, which shocked the world, was the case of the successful golfer, Tiger Woods. With such a  great career, leading him to all the corners of the world and wining great tournaments, the married man lost focus and hit the golf ball into the under wear  of porno stars, severely damaging his reputation and career.  I am a man, therefore I know the comfort and satisfaction at that place which belongs to a woman, but I am aware of the dangers and temptation, especially if you are a married man.

According to the scriptures, God places people in situations where He tests their faith and commitment.  Why God does tests us when He knew man will fail? Is man trying to get back the rib God used to create the Eve-woman, while the woman fights hard to keep it? If God really tests man, then man should pass the trial by not falling into temptations, because He also gave man power to resist temptation. In this case man shouldn’t blame God or woman for his failure.

Another question worth to bring on the table is: Can these bitter stories serve as a lesson to other men? Time will tell, but I don’t think so. Men will always drift into danger, since the body is weak to resist temptation, moreover Satan is like a hungry lion, lurking around the corner, looking for its next victim to devour, but we mustn’t allow him to catch us.

Keep On Writing Until The Bones Are Rotten

Bones 2Photo credit: Pixgood.com

It’s unfortunate that many have already given up or quit writing, because the book which they thought could make them bestselling author, has totally disappointed them, terminating the desire to be a good author.

In a world of which thousands of books are published yearly and affected by the rapid decline of reading, many are struggling in the field of writing with shattered dreams.

What is making the situation worse, is the sick habit of some famous writers, that often used Social Media platforms to discredit other writers’ work, as a way to draw readers’ attention to their works or gain more recognition and fame.

Again some unknown and new writers that want their voice heard or recognition, resort to undermining other writer’s work on social platforms as well. I have read such distasteful comments about other writers over and over wondering: Why some people live with greed and selfishness, aiming to achieve whatever they are looking for?

As a matter of fact, if one is intelligent to write a book, that intelligence is enough to teach the person that “Success comes to people that wish others success. They should make research and find out: “Whoever digs a hole against someone will surely fall into that hole himself.”

As an aspiring writer, what pushed you into writing? What are the motives that triggered your desire into book publishing, money or fame? I’m interested in these questions, because if you’re an aspiring or new writer, entering into the field of publishing, with the desire of becoming a millionaire over night, then I’m sorry, you will end up disappointed and depressed.

This is the situation many aspiring writers are facing today. What many writers have failed to realise is that: Stepping into the field of book publishing as a new writer, is like a stranger making proposal to a woman he finds attractive. She doesn’t know you, she therefore needs more time to know your background and where you come from.

This investigation or proposal may last a month or years, depending on what kind the lady is. After her investigations, if she is satisfied, she will accept the man’s proposal and marry him. The same way it takes a short or very long time for readers to accept or reject your book as an author.

If you have this in mind, as a new writer, before entering the field of book publishing, you will always be happy, easy and relaxed, no matter how poor or fast your books are moving. There shouldn’t be a competition in book publishing. If your book doesn’t suit this generation, another generation will accept it. The reason many writers become famous years after death.

There is a time for everything. A time to sow and to harvest, sickness and healthiness. Thus; there will be a time the underestimated shall be estimated. Let this article encourage you, if you have already given up or decided to do so. Even though, writing is considered to be one of the most dangerous professions, let the writing continue unabated until the bones are rotten.
